Using as summer pet door
I have purchased this product multiple times. It does have a life expectancy when using with three large dogs and exposed to the elements thus I replace annually. The thick vinyl construct keeps the AC in and cold out. The velcro allows it to be attached to the brick wall of my door opening surprising firmly. 5 Stars and worth every cent in cost savings

Actually Works!
I live in a one bedroom apartment. My apartment only has one door, and that's to the bathroom. I was looking for something that I could use to put over the doorway to my bedroom this summer to keep the cool air in and cut down on my energy bill—and I defintely found it!This is one of the few products large enough to cover my entire doorway, which is quite tall since there's no door frame installed, and it works like a charm. My energy bill this last month is half of what it was last summer, and I didn't have to sacrifice any comfort. My bedroom is nice and cool, and there is a noticeable difference between it and the rest of my apartment.Despite expectations, the adhesive velcro strips that are included were easy to install and stick extremely well. The magnetic strips sewn into the curtains to keep them closed don't have any gaps that I can see, and definitely make it less of a hassle to open and close the curtain. You can walk right through it without worrying about tearing anything, but it does require that you take the time to pull the ends together when you want to seal it back up.This company also does speedy returns & replacements. My first curtain accidentally shipped without the velcro strips, and they had a replacement at my door in just a few days. All in all, I was extremely satisfied with mine, and will definitely buy another should the need arise.

Sturdy and extremely functional! Love these!!!
We are renovating and have an empty entryway to a very small foyer at the front door. We live in a cold climate and I grabbed this to keep the cold from sneaking in through the foyer to the living area. Amazing! It was extremely easy to hang. It is sturdy and does it's job very well. The difference in temperature between the living area and the foyer that it is enclosing is at least 10 degrees and more depending on the temp outside and the heat is not being wasted! So it is working well!I also bought one for the back entry porch in front of the door. Again, fantastic block of the cold air sneaking through the door and frame.I bought yet another to block off the "doorway" between my bedroom and my office because we are doing renovations in the office. Excellent to keep the dust out! I also noticed an increase in the temperature in the bedroom because it is not losing heat.Love these!

Durable, Solid, and the Door Closes Itself Everytime If Installed As Instructed
I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality of this door curtain. I had moved into a 1 bedroom apartment which had no door between the living room and kitchen. The door and hinges were removed. I was having a hard time getting my living room cooled down with a 5000 btu window ac unit due to the opening into the hot kitchen. Initially I thought about actually buying a door from home depot and thought about industrial vinyl sheets used in loading dock passageways to prevent energy loss from frequent traffic. Then I came across this product and decided to give it a try. The material is a slick durable vinyl-like material that is smooth to the touch. They used decent quality material for this product and it feels like it won't tear. The decorative strip at the top of the door seems to be made with cotton. Installation took 10 min. The edges of the door has a very sticky adhesive that I peeled back and stuck to the door opening. You do have to measure and cut double sided extra sticky tape strip to stick onto one side's edge of the "door". Then stick the whole thing to the door opening wall. It comes with tacks for extra support so it won't fall off the wall. Unlike a lot of products out there where it doesn't stick well, this adhesive has kept the door up without a problem. When sticking the top edge, you have to raise the center of the top side slightly before sticking so that the flaps of the door will come back together when opened and closed. The door flaps have magnets that brings them together to close the door. I did stick some Gorilla Clear Tape on the top edge to make it more secure although I'm sure that it would have stayed up without it. And the product works as expected; it never fell off the wall and the flaps automatically come back together after passing through almost every single time. This saved me money and a lot of time from actually installing a door and my living room cools down quick with ac (or heat in winter). If you have an opening between rooms or even for moderate traffic back doors and want to save on energy with the convenience of a self shutting door, this Magnetic Thermal Door Curtain will do the job. The operation of whether the flaps closes by itself and whether or not the whole thing stays on the wall WILL depend on the installation. ..which if done right should work as advertised. My center was sagging a little and the door didn't close. Noticed I needed to raise the center of the top edge a bit more and put a tack there to ensure the door closes by itself which it does almost everytime.

Updated: Not as sturdy as it needs to be and does not last
I like the idea of this, however it has some flaws.1. The magnets aren't strong enough. When the ac turns on the air current push the bottom magnets open while it's blowing.2. The velcro doesn't stay glued to the door frame. I have had this up for maybe a week and I have had to reattach it at least 10 times. It is in a very high traffic area and we never seperate it from the frame (although the velcro it is attached with makes it seem that you should be able to do so). It doesn't completely fall off but the top sags down leaving a gap at the top.I followed the mounting instructions exactly. I will probably keep this but it didn't turn out as expected.UPDATEIt has been only 2 months and this has completely fallen apart and no longer sticks at all. It has ripped to shreds partly because it keeps falling off the frame and getting stuck to itself. Definitely no worth it the purchase unless you are fine with having to replace it once a month. There is no way to request a refund or replacement as far as I have found.
