Thanks for your question. The improved features of the new released smart scale are: 1. This scale works with the two connection modes: Bluetooth & Wi-Fi (Only 2.4GHz, don't support 5G Wi-Fi). 2. Three metrics (body weight, body fat%, and BMI) will show on the scale display directly while weighing. 3. Using ITO Coating Technology, it analyzes the body compositions with high accuracy. 4. Smart enough to recognize automatically up to 8 users who step on the scale. Each user can get the data on their own devices in private.

Q: Do I need to open the app to update my weight or does the wifi do it automatically?

The date will sync to the app once your body fat scale has already paired with Wi-Fi. Please note: When pairing the smart scale with your smartphone for the first time, you have to use the Bluetooth connection to finish the first measurement. After completing the first measurement successfully, you could continue to pair the scale with Wi-Fi. Please feel free to contact us if there is any issue.

Q: What happens if Wifi or Bluetooth aren't available?

The scale will recognize you and upload and record your data to the App if Wifi or Bluetooth isn't available. The display will show body weight, Body Fat%, and BMI directly. Please note: You must finish once time measurement with Wi-Fi. When pairing your device with WiFi for the first time, you must complete the first body measurement through a Bluetooth connection. If you want to check the other 11 body data, when Wifi or Bluetooth is available, you could just open the app. The data will sync to your phone within 0.1 second.

Q: Will the data on the app from my previous renpho scale be transferred to this new wifi scale or will I need a separate account?

Thanks for your question. You do not need a separate account for this wifi body composition scale. Your history data will be saved in your account even if you switch to a new renpho scale.
