Half the price of the one through the school. This was brand new and in perfect shape. Some of the reviews said they were used and beat up upon arrival. It was in a case in a big and arrived quickly. Perfect instrument for students and beginners.

We rented a similar instrument for the first year my kid was playing trumpet at the school band, but we decided to buy it for the second year (roughly twice the price of annual renting), so I think it was a solid deal. It is very functional and my kid loves it. Something to consider is the long delivery time, and the Import tax received after delivery.

My son is a beginning trumpet player, so we were looking for a solid instrument to allow him to get a good start in music. I have played / owned many Yamaha instruments, including piano, saxophone, etc, so we know the quality behind the name. This trumpet delivered on that expectation! It was brand new in the original factory packaging and includes valve oil, slide grease, cleaning cloth and a new instrument case. We are very satisfied with the instrument and the price is excellent for a brand name trumpet. The product was shipped from Japan and arrived on time, so this seller is highly recommended!

This trumpet is very good and sounds out really good. My son loves it

I bought this foe my 12 y/o grand daughter. She loved it. She played me several songs and she was pleased with the way it played and sounded. I would suggest this trumpet to anyone who is tired of renting for a child who is going to play for the next 6 years through high school.

So far I'm pleased with this trumpet. Yamaha is a very recognized music instrument maker. I bought it for my son that is just starting to play trumpet in Middle School and he's very happy with it as well. I could have bought a used one for almost half the price but not knowing much about instruments I decided not to take a chance and went for this new one. My son is happy with the mouthpiece it came with and the case looks very decent.

I was a bit concerned about buying this Trumpet because the case shown in the listing was old and beat up. However, we received a brand new trumpet and case in its original box from Yamaha for a lot less than we could purchase in our local retail shops. This trumpet has been great so far for a beginner 5th grader getting into the trumpet for his school band.
