This product is not as advertised. For one thing it’s not “carbon steel” at best it is tin with a thin coat of paint sprayed on it. (metallurgy class in college I detested comes in handy for something) It arrived with a dent in the left side and paint already chipping off. I am not sure why though as the box showed no signs of damage and was packed okay. However it did ship from a distributor not the manufacturer so it was either repacked after a return or packed this was from the maufacturer. Anyway, concealed damage so inspect yours before throwing away the return box.As already stated many times by others the top falls right into the container. This will not fit a large size bread such as a large Wonder Bread but more like a package of 8- hotdog and or hamburger rolls.The imitation bamboo lid (think cheap laminate flooring) falls into the container, the product was dented, paint is chipping off all around the top and there are clumps of glue on the lid. It looks like they glued an inner smaller piece of laminate to the top piece underside (?why) and maybe hung it up to dry allowing the glue run down the lid to the bottom and dry there. If anyone can guess why that extra piece of woodish material is there for in the first place maybe you win a prize or something.And lastly, I really hope Amazon does not filter this comment. This product has made in China written all over the box. It is becoming clear that as consumers we need to start paying attention to what Amazon is selling because honestly who has time to deal with crap product.. something happening on more of my orders than not. My next review will be on a floor fan. Same scenario but worse.I am beginning to become jaded with what Amazon is selling. Where is their due dillegence? Maybe after a certain number/percentage of 1- star verified purchase reviews a product should be “put on notice”. This has a 10% 1- star review, I’d have given it a 0 if I could have. And why is there no such thing as a zero review?

I think it has a very nice design however it lacks functionality. The lid will constantly fall in the bin and it is very frustrating trying to get it out.Would make a great product if the circumference of the lid would be slightly larger than the container or recess the bin such that the lid won’t fall in or attach handels to the lid.

I wanted an attractive bread container for my white marble counter. The walls below the cabinets are white/gray/putty enameled bricks. This bread container has a luscious soft mocha color with a wooden top - the effect in the kitchen is perfect. This product is even more beautiful than pictured; I will probably order a matching canister for teas! It holds a loaf of bread and a package of English muffins but it was purchased for its perfect visual effect on my counter.

The lid keeps falling inside the bin, the lid does not seal so bread in the breadbox still needs to be in a bag. I was looking for a box that I could store my homemade bread in and would not need to put it in a plastic bag. This breadbox is for show rather than practicality.

What I like is the classic clean appearance of the box. Also, doesn't take up too much space on my counter. I'd like it to be a little larger, though. Blues are hard to match- my kitchen is "bluer" than the box, but it blends in neutrally.The delivery was unbelievable- 1 day I think.

It’s a neat and clean looking bread, sweets box but it’s small. It’s too small for a full loaf of bread but works well for other bread items (bagels, rolls, sweets, etc)... it works perfect for the space that I have. My only complaint is that the lid doesn’t seem too sturdy and is difficult to open, unless you use both hands.

Just as described. The color is beautiful but it is made from a very soft metal and came a small dent. The lid also tends to fall in the container and hard to get out. Wish is was made a bit better but I love the color so I am keeping it.

Nice looking and would otherwise been very happy with it, but the dimensions listed are way bigger. This item is actually 13 wide, 6.25 high and 7.25 deep

What is the point of a bread bin which is not air tight? There is no seal, the lid is loose and wobbles about. Pretty but useless! Hugely disappointing since the matching products in this range DO have seals on them. There were also a couple of small dents in the lid. I need to return this but all drop off points are over a mile away and I don't feel this is 'essential travel' to get to them or the post office. Amazon customer services is completely limited with no way to contact someone to discuss other collection options.

Aesthetically pleasing, but not airtight. After doing days of research for a bread bin, decided on this one .... Instantly regretted it. While I received compliments on it after putting in the kitchen, it doesn't really do the job. I make fresh bread at home and wanted a place to seal it and ensure it lasted as long as possible. Unfortunately, the lid falls off and has no plastic air tight grips on it. Even my family is put off from using it because every time, the lid falls off or inside. So we only keep already sealed bread from the store in it or other things we need to store around the kitchen. Next time I will do my research better...

This is a nice bread bin, but the lid falls in. I have only just realised that on the lid there should be some sort of rubber seal, this is missing and why it keeps falling in the bin itself. its too late to return as I've had it since August 21. I have the set, so i know its missing. if buying check that it has this. Other than that its a nice colour and meets purpose

Awful awful awful iv just ordered a lot of this make in other products so the colour is correct the size however is laughable! Just about fit a loaf of bread in it! Unless you live alone don't buy for spaciousness its ridiculously tiny if amazon were easier to return stuff id get shot of this big time worse bread bin ever and its not cheap!!!!

Disappointed as the bread bin is not airtight. It is also too small for our family needs.I have tried to return but have had difficulties as the first shop recommended no longer accepts DPS parcels.The returns process continued to be difficult so I now have a bread bin which is not fit for purpose.
