The seams have been welded together and then buffed on the outside for a smooth finish. This planter has an inset keyhole hanger on the back so that it hangs flush against your wall. The entire planter has been powder coated to prevent rusting. The powder coat will not harm your succulents or flowers. The gloss white and gloss black colors are pictured. Easy installation! great accent for small plants that don't need a lot of dirt or water
I ordered the large white ones. They are metal. They are sturdy but not heavy. Because of the tapered bottom, they do not hold a lot of dirt. These ivy plants are a bit too big for them, but I mounded the dirt and spray them with water b/c pouring water into them will just drain off the top instead of soaking into the dirt. I would suggest using better wall anchors than the ones they send. I love the way they look and how easy they were to install. Now I just need some white towels....
