I bought this, along with other supplies, as a starting point for my daughter to try. A work colleague gave her a gift with a wax seal on it and she mentioned liking it.The wax is fine and a nice colour BUTThe idea of putting a candle inside and sitting the spoon on top if the stand is a good idea but a fire hazard! It takes a long time for the wax to melt (10 - 15 mins) in the spoon and the wood smells of burning due to this. The spoon also warped. She is now using the wooden stand as just that, a stand to rest the spoon on when not melting wax.My advice would be to use a tealight candle on its own and hold the spoon over it to melt the wax. Nothing can be done about the warping spoon though.

This was my first time ever using a wax seal and it was so easy and made my wedding invitations pop! The color was beautiful and the wax melted and poured so easily. I’ve been looking for excuses to wax seal things ever since lolIt’s easy to clean and easy to store since it’s a small kit. But that’s not a bad thing by any means. It perfect!

The product looks exactly like the picture, it was easy to set up and use. The wax melts within a minute or less depending on how much you have on the spoon. The candles last a decent amount of time. The bottom of the spoon does turns black after so much time over the flame but that would happen to anything over a flame for that long. The wood peice that the spoon sits on did light on fire from the candle underneath so watch the placement of the candle. But I absolutely love the product, used it for my wedding invitations and will keep using it!

Comes with a good amount of wax beads and cute to use for sealing gifts. I was worried the spoon would be too handle-heavy and not sit in the warmer, but it sits nicely.

This works just as needed! I bought it to seal my wedding invites.. this picture was my first try and that was with 3 wax beads. The color is pretty too! Unfortunately some of the tea lights melted in transit but most were okay to use!
