EIGHTREE Smart Plug WiFi Outlet Works with Alexa & Google Home, 15A, 2-Pack

I love these little guys! I have them all over my house controlling lamps, fans, and other devices. They were quick and easy to set up, connected to my Wi-Fi without any trouble, and they've stayed online without constantly needing to be reconnected. The app is simple to use, scheduling works great, and being able to control everything from my phone or with voice commands is incredibly convenient. If you're looking for dependable smart plugs at a great price, I highly recommend these.

So cool! I use the Wi-Fi connection function with each of the four plugs. Bluetooth connection is also available. I was afraid that WiFi would not reach the most remote smart-plug 35' from the router, at floor level, but no problem! There is an option to assign the plugs by one of six room choice types in the house which makes the identification easy. I had already programmed each of the four plugs by plug name but found that one cant rename other than the default name as plug 1, plug 2... etc. So I redid them using the room name option LR, DR, BR, KIT. This will work for me. I was kind of shocked seeing that I could turn the plug on and off from my phone. These can be programmed to turn on when you arrive home so that you can have lights turn on when you enter. They can be programmed to turn on at a certain time. They can be programmed to turn off at a certain time. They can be programmed to turn on and off which is what I'm doing with fans to automatically cool my house in the afternoons, replacing the noisy mechanical timers with smart plugs. CONS: the app could be made to save a default setting so that you could just use it with each plug if you're using the same thing over and over. But you have to program each time for turning the plug on, MTWTFSS, save it then turning the plug off, save it. It's pretty easy and straightforward so I can't complain too much. There's a setting so that you could have the plugs turn your lights on and off at random while you're perhaps away on vacation. Nice! They seem to be built in a beautifully designed fashion as unbulky as possible so it still could connect to wi-fi.

These smart plugs were easy to set up, easy to use, and they work well. Mine came with all 4 plugs and an instruction manual. The app was intuitive and user friendly so I had no problem creating an account and connecting to the smart plug over Wifi. Just follow the instructions. One thing to note is that you need the 2.4 Ghz Wifi. The Wifi will not connect if you only have 5 Ghz. The circular plug size is good but it's a bit bulky. If I have one on top the outlet, I cannot put another one on the bottom. Also doesn't work if my secondary plug is L-shaped and pointing upwards. I have a 3-prong adapter that I use in my living room so I can have more space. In my bedroom, I have the plug on a schedule to run my fan for an hour every night. The white noise helps me sleep and the wind regulates my body temperature (I get very warm at night). So far, I've had them for almost a year and they're still functional so the quality is good and durable. I recommend it and if I need more smart plugs, I'd buy these again.

I have used these Eightree smart plug Wi-Fi plugs, and they work very well with Alexa. I use them for my lights, as well as my coffee maker, and they’re really effective, adaptable, responsive. Do a drawback for this plug I found at some point this circular model may interfere with the second outlet where you may want to plug something in. I purchased two sets.

As many of the other reviews noted, these are easy to set up once you are aware of a few things which are noted below. I purchased both the small round indoor outlets and the larger outdoor outlets, so these hints apply to both items. The steps outlined in the instructions are actually pretty good but awareness of these hints will make it go much faster for you. 1- I configured my devices one at a time at the same outlet using the Smart Life app on my phone via the BLE mode. The first device is the most time consuming as you need to create a Smart Life account, identify your WIFI and put in your WIFI password. Once that is done, you don't need to do it again for subsequent devices, so it goes pretty fast after that. 2- As noted in the instructions, just plugging the device into an outlet will put the device into its pairing mode and it will appear in the app as "Smart plug x" where x = the number of devices added to the app. I did have one device that didn't appear after plugging it in, so pressing and holding the button on the device for 5 seconds put it into the pairing mode and it connected successfully. 3- As each device is detected, you should edit the name of the device from "Smart plug x" to a meaningful description e.g "Smart plug kitchen". I also wrote the description on the device with a sharpie as several of the devices will be used with Christmas lights and will be stored away in the off season. 4- I just wanted mine to power on and off as specific times. To do this, tap on "timer" for the device in the app and then tap on "add schedule". The thing to remember is that each schedule added only does one function (on or off), so if you want it to power on at a specific time, that's one schedule and if you want it to power off at a specific time, that's another schedule. The schedules just pile up in the order that you add them for the device and execute based on the time and the function (on or off) that you choose. Note that the indoor and outdoor devices behave a little differently from each other in the app because the outdoor devices have 2 individually configurable outlets, so it is a little more complicated but pretty obvious. You can also manually power the devices on and off via the app even with schedules in place.

Love these have one for my office light, so easy to turn on and off. Hooked to my google mini.

This smart plug is small and very practical. One thing I really like is that it doesn’t block the other outlets on the wall, which is very important if you’re using a power strip or a double outlet. Setting it up was also very easy. It doesn’t have a built-in microphone itself, but once you download the app and connect it to your smart home system (like Alexa), it works perfectly. Linking it to Alexa was simple and only took a few minutes. After that, you can control anything plugged into it with your voice. You can turn devices on or off, and you can also schedule them to turn on or off automatically whenever you want. To me, it feels a bit like when you connect a TV Stick to an old television and suddenly it becomes a smart TV. This device does something similar for power outlets — it basically turns a normal outlet into a smart one. And honestly, it’s a pretty cool feeling. As I move around the house I can just talk to my devices and they respond. Sometimes it even feels a bit like being Iron Man talking to Jarvis. Overall, it’s a very useful little device and a great addition if you’re building a smart home setup.

These work exactly as described. Simple set up thru the app. They allow for easy Alexa-based voice control and for automatic routines. We have 16 so far and all work great. We DID have one that started to fail to respond to routines and voice commands, then it failed completely. It was late in the 2-year warranty period. I contacted the seller thru Amazon and they were absolutely great. They apologized for the inconvenience and shipped me TWO new ones at no charge. They didn't even want the failed unit back! THAT is great customer service. What is not to love?

I've tried a few different brands of these plugs, and so far, this one is my all time favourite. They're easy to setup and work best out of all the brands that I have tried. I have had absolutely ZERO issues with them, unlike some other brands. Some brands require the occasional reboot, but these ones seem to have been flawless for me since day one.

Easy to set up. Instructions are easy to follow. Works as advertised but one died after only a few weeks of use. 3 others are still running after a year. Edit. Seller offered a Full refund for the deffective unit. Great Customer Service.

I've had a bunch of smart plugs over the years and these are by far easiest to setup and have so far been very reliable. It's actually a painless/intuitive user experience when pairing them with Google Home. Had them working within 2 minutes of opening the box. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are 2.4ghz, not 5ghz devices (so check if your router supports this). I'd recommend to non-techie friends and family

Really good quality. Surprisingly easy to pair and use with Google Home as well as the native app. Would definitely recommend and purchase again if needed.
