The reviews warned me that these espadrilles would be wide. I have wide feet, so I was hoping the reviews were right. They were. I'm loving these cute summer shoes: they're wide enough for my size 8 D width-feet (I didn't have to stretch them or break them in at all). They're also cushy enough so I can wear them all day, and elegant enough for a dress to church/skirt for work. Perfect for wide feet. I would've given 5 stars, but 1) they're way overpriced. When I saw them in Spain, they were $15. And 2) the holes in the back heel won't last long: there is no reinforcement around the holes where the ribbon is threaded. It's threaded through a thin web of canvas fabric. I'll probably create a little metal or plastic eyelet to reinforce the holes before the ribbon tears through it.

Writing this review to help others judge the size. First, will say that my order arrived on time and was as described and pictured. This is my 5th pair of shoes from this brand and I’m finding the quality to be well worth the price (but my first purchase of these shoes from Amazon.)My shoe size is normal width size 8.5-9. On my foot, a canvas fabric will typically be a looser fit than suede as the canvas fabric provides a bit more stretch. In these shoes, I ordered a size 40 in brown canvas, and these were too large. I could easily have worn a 39 and perhaps even a 38. These shoes were both too long and a bit too wide for me. My best advice to anyone unsure on their size is to consult the Viscata Barcelona website as they have a great guide for sizing. I’ve followed their sizing guide measurements for two previous purchases (both different styles) and the fit was perfect.Hope this is helpful to other’s making a purchase.

Like what the other reviews said, these are a bit wide. My feet aren’t skinny nor are they fat; just normal width, I would say. I initially ordered size39 but I had to exchanged for size40 because although they are comfortably roomy, it was short (especially if you have long toes!). I just put a half insert to tighten the fit a little bit. If you have super skinny feet, these wouldn’t work for you. THESE ARE VERY CUTE!!!!!

This is my second pair of espadrilles from this maker. I absolutely love them. My first pair is a few years old and have seen their day. I shared the specific picture because I love the upgrade made to this shoe.First, the metal grommets keep the threads of the shoes from fraying after constantly pulling on the strings to make sure they are tight enough around the ankle.Second, the leather tips on the ends of the strings add a finished look. My first pair did not have them.The shoe is very comfortable, versatile and stylish to wear with jeans, linen pants or summer dresses. They are true to size. I recommend these shoes.My only negative would be that they are a little pricey but I would not hold back a star because of that and they are well made shoes.

So very, very happy with these! I originally ordered another pair of lace-up espadrilles (flat versus wedge) and was disappointed that they were not flattering at all on me. I went back and forth on whether to try again, and when I saw these, I knew I had to give them a chance. I love wedges because of how they tend to elongate legs, and since I don't generally like heels on me, wedges provide the feminine touch I want without the clumsiness that often results when I try to walk in heels. These were comfortable immediately out of the box. Even my teenage boy said they looked nice, and that I should definitely keep them. I was sold at that point! I look forward to wearing these with wrap skirts, midi dresses, and cuffed jeans all summer. There are multiple ways they can be tied, which adds to their versatility. The quality is excellent, and I can see getting many years of wear out of these. I am one happy customer!

I really love these shoes. They were a little tight at first but after I wore them to work all day they fit better. In fact, they seem a tad loose now. But they still fit great and are comfortable. I've worn them to work a bunch and never had any pain. I did get a blister on my heel once because the back part of the shoe was folded down a little, but that had nothing to do with the quality of the shoes. Once I fixed it, they were comfortable again. They are very nice looking shoes. I got the navy blue pair so that I could wear them with more outfits, and they do indeed seem to go with almost everything -- skirts, dresses, flared jeans, skinny jeans. Haven't tried them with shorts, but I bet they would look awesome. If you have issues with your arches, I can't testify as to whether or not these are supportive as I have pretty flat feet. But otherwise, they are very comfortable. I really like the height of the heels, they aren't too tall, which I think is partly why they are comfortable, but there is enough of a heel to make your legs look longer and thinner. At least that's what they did to me. I would definitely buy more of these in different colors in the future.

These are so comfortable! This shoe seems to have a soft cushion somewhere. I’ve had other espadrilles that are cheaper and they feel like I’m walking on boards. These were so comfortable. The straps don’t rub on my ankle and while the heel portion of the shoe looks like something scratchy it is something very very soft and doesn’t rub at all. The 2.5 inch heel is just perfect. It gives me a little lift for my short frame but not too high for walking around in for several hours. I will say the canvas ones seem to run a little larger on me than the suede. I am a 7 1/2 or 8 normally but I have gone with a 7 in the canvas and then 8 in the suede. Wish I could afford them in every color!

Smashing footwear for summer style! I really love the way these look with just about anything. The heel is just enough to give the look an edge but not of any significant height to make them uncomfortable; I only withhold a star because they are not suitable for running for the bus or walking marathons. I find that it is fine to amble around the shops and these will be totally perfect on hols but the fit and the ties make them slip off the back a little and rub just a little so just be sure what purpose you are buying them for....especially as they are a bit on the pricey side.

Bought brown size 2.5 for my daughter who is a size 3 but we have found with this style of shoe we both go down a size or half size.She loves them and finds them very comfortable. The brown colour is versatile and will go with a number of outfits. She has taken the shoes InterRailing for evenings, as a shoe with height but also comfortable for hot summer city nights.

Found these espadrilles perfect, colour, height,Comfort. Well made and look good.Laces could be longer, maybe I’m doing them up incorrectly.Love them.
