Where can I get a replacement strap? Mine snapped as I was putting it on today..

That happened to me today too (1/7/2022). I will look for replacement straps.

Water is getting in the mouth piece. Is there a way to avoid that? My head is straight and my mouth is sealed.

I would inspect the snorkel for any bad seals. If it all appears good, it's coming in from the top of the snorkel. Your head while swimming should be at a 45 degree angle. Try looking forward while you swim and see if that helps

will a 12 year old be able to fit the small size?

It will fit to a 12 year old, but I suggest to use the regular size instead as the small size will be out growed easily by a 12 year old, and this snorkel will last for longer years to come.

why don't these type of snorkel's have water blocking valves?

The Michael Phelps swim focus snorkel is designed as a training aid to focus your head and body position while training in a pool. Any water that enters snorkel because of poor head position can be cleared with strong exhale.
