This was the first time that I ordered buckwheat honey, and at first, I was very surprised by the odor. I did some research, then realized that it is normal for it to have a stronger scent and also that it is ideal for baking. I have enjoyed this honey; sometimes I just crave a spoonful, and other times I put it in my food as a sugar substitute. After looking into it more, this kind of dark, dense buckwheat honey, umm, has a lot of antioxidants and health benefits, and I'm really happy I tried it. It is surprising to receive honey this dense. It has almost a peanut butter texture, and it's so dark you cannot see through the jar. If you are sensitive to odors, I don't recommend this honey. When I shared with my friends, I warned them ahead of time because it has a bit of a sense of "bran" or "farm."

Nothing can beat this flavor - it tastes almost like caramel, or toffy. Very unique and super healthy. It has been always underestimated in health benefits.

The honey itself is fantastic,YUMMY! However Amazon drivers aren't very smart i live in Arizona, you don't leave anything out in the sun here.Dumb driver left my pkg out by my back yard gate i couldn't even open the gate he left it leaning up against it instead of leaving it on the front covered porch where there's a table by the door to set pkgs on.i don't know if it was the packaging or the extreme heat but 3 of the 5 jars leaked all over the place what a sticky mess. But the honey is average price nothing to be excited about the flavor tho.... it's too die for.

The honey arrived crystallized and solid. This indicates that it is genuine. If buckwheat honey arrives liquid, it means that it has either been heated (most likely at a high temperature) to eliminate any harmful substances, or it is counterfeit honey. So I heated it in warm water at 104 degrees Fahrenheit, and it became liquid and retained all its beneficial properties. Then I poured it into another jar, from another honey, so that it would be easier to pour. I usually drink it with coffee, it adds a caramel, slightly burnt flavor.

This honey tastes fine, but when the jar arrived a few days ago, the ENTIRE JAR was hard and crystallized. I am not sure what would cause such a thing except sitting around too long? Every time we use it I have to off load a bit to a sauce pan and heat it up, which is time consuming

I'm not exaggerating, this is the best honey in the world. I sometimes buy a local honey that all my neighbors swear by, and it just tastes and looks like corn syrup.... This honey varies in how dark it is and also slightly in flavor, but when you get a really dark batch, you are in for a treat. I can't even adequately describe how good it is. I'm obsessed with honey and have tried 1,000s of different honeys from all over the world and buckwheat is my favorite, partly due to the health benefits-but sometimes you can get a light "barnyard" aftertaste from buckwheat honey-many of the buckwheat honeys sold here have that note present. This one does not however, it is pure thick floral goodness. This honey destroys Manuka honey in terms of antioxidants and health benefits at a fraction of the price. However, BEWARE....once you try it, it will ruin you for the cheap honeys you used to enjoy, like the 5 lb jugs from Costco. You just will not be able to eat them anymore because they just taste like sugar syrup in comparison. This honey is so good you will reach for the jar of it instead of a family photo album while fleeing from a house fire, and you will have zero regrets afterwards.

This buckwheat honey, I'm not very happy with, it's not real dark it doesn't taste like buckwheat honey and it's all crystallized like sugar I don't know how they made the stuff but it I don't think it's real buckwheat honey, if it is sorry but I don't even want it .I'm going to reorder some other store.
