NalakaiPura Vida Slings Bamboo and Linen Fabric Sling Baby Carrier for Men (Soft Rain)

I had high hopes for this sling and thought it would be a good wear to wear my 11 month old but it simply doesn't not live up to standard. The material is slippy and not matt enough for a sling, this results in the material sliding up and over my babies bum, the rings are cheap and flimsy also and do not to what they are supposed to. It makes for a very unsafe and concerning baby wearing experience! I'm very disappointed with this and would never recommend it to anyone. 2 stars for the nice packaging and bag it comes in but the product itself is unsafe and absolutely useless.

my 2.5 months old baby doesn’t like it , I have been trying it every day for few mins, and he cries . But I think I will keep it to see if he will like it when he is a little bit older

I wanted SO badly to like this sling. In the photos and demonstrations, everything looks so happy and easy.Not the case, at least with me and my son (9 months old and 23 pounds)First of all, the material IS wonderful . Its sturdy, breathable, feels good and beautiful. So that’s awesome.However, for me at least, the Nalakai ring sling lacks security with holding my baby safely and secure. Each time I used it, I fitted it, threaded it and wore it as demonstrated. Yet, my baby kept falling through after just 5 minutes of wearing it. I had to keep my arm under his butt to prevent him from sliding down all the way and it felt just as heavy as if I was holding him without it. You also have to keep pulling the fabric into the ring to tighten it. Thanks it’s so exhausting. The other issue I have with is that it’s completely uncomfortable. The fabric that drapes over your neck and shoulder are extremely restricting. It digs into my neck and it pushed me arm into my body, preventing me from freely moving my arm.Im super dissatisfied and I’m so confused why this is such a successful sling. My only guess is that it works much better for newborns and lighter babies.

Love, love, love! Material is soooo soft & breathable but yet thick enough for its purpose. I ordered the Soft Rain color & it is beautiful! Will match with anything we wear. Sling comes with a super cute bag to carry. The price is 100% worth it! 1st sling i purchased was a Vlokup sling & they do not compare at all. Vlokup material is scratchy curtain like material & takes alot more effort to adjust since material is thicker it wont just slide thru the rings. The Nalakai sling is so soft, that it makes it effortless to adjust material slides easily thru the rings to tighten. You would think since it adjusts so easily it would come undone but it did not it stayed nice & tight the whole time. Does not come with a chemical scent it has more of a natural smell. So happy with my purchase we use it daily & with a clingy baby this is the only way we get things done. My daughter is so content in it. She is currently at 19ish lbs & almost 9 months sling holds the weight nicely doesn't cause back aches. Nursing is also super easy with baby in it. I'm so obsessed with these slings i want a collection of all the beautiful colors😍lol

I cannot get it to tighten, no matter how many times I watch and follow the YouTube video tips and tutorials. If it's user error than my mistake, but those who aren't experts in wraps (I am not an expert, clearly) should be a little wary before buying. The videos make it look extremely easy to use and it's not if you don't have the skills to use it.
