i'm 31 with autism and spiceal needs is this age appropriate comforter ...?

No you would need one that’s longer, if you purchased this one it would be a lap blanket This is smaller kid size.

Is this Machine washable?

Yes. Machine washable. They say to just dry at low temperatures.

What size should I buy for a 7 year old? Thx

It's not really about years, but more about weight. It's recommended that a weighted blanket be no more than 10% of a person's weight. So, for instance, for a 50lb child, a 5lb blanket should be appropriate.
