Large and stable.
I have a rather high step from my living room onto my terrace and needed something to make it easier to get out there with warmer weather on the horizon. This is absolutely perfect. It is very stable and a good size so you need have no fear of stepping too near an edge and tipping it over.As a comparison, I also bought (from another source) two fold up half steps for exiting through the bedroom sliding doors. They will stay in the storage chest for the most part and were purchased primarily with small grandchildren in mind. They do the job, but they have a noticeably smaller surface area and are not nearly as sturdy or well balanced.I would definitely recommend this particular item for that extra standing space, especially if there’s any risk of a wobble or any unsteadiness.

Maximum weight 21stone(135kg)
I have found this item very handy, and it makes getting in and out of front door so much easier. I found it strong and sturdy. The weight restriction is fine for me, but it might not be for others that visit. I assumed the maximum weight was 31stone(200kg) like others I had viewed, but the box the step was in said differently, it stated maximum weight was 21stone(135kg). So I have deducted one star because there was no mention of weight restriction in the description of the item.

arrived on time - well packaged - does the job well
Very sturdy , good sized step, I ordered two , one for help getting in and out of the shower and one to get on and off the balcony.I fell and broke my ankle , needed extensive surgery which means taking a deep step is difficult , not so much due to pain but the mental block of stepping up and down.im a big guy at 21 stone and I don't feel any movement in the steps when stood with full weight on them. If it wasn't for the steps i would not have been able to sit on my balcony last weekend to enjoy the sunshine.I did need to contact the seller when the courier website wasn't displaying my full address for the delivery. They said they would check and they were delivered on time to the right address.Hopefully I wont need the shower step forever , the balcony one we will keep as my wife is only little and found the step down from the kitchen to balcony a little deep for her anyhow.Fully recommend this product.

Extremely poor quality
Extremely poor quality, this broke, snapped in the middle within the 1st wwwk of use for my mum. The middle is where the support is needed the most, very poor. When I contacted the seller they didn't want to know.

Great item - makes mums life better
For saying my house was built for someone disabled, for some unknown reason, the front & back doors all seem to be stupidly high up, so getting in & out of the house is a challenge for anyone with mobility problems. However, since we have a brick porch outside the front & back doors, putting a permanent half-step in place is also not ideal, so we needed an alternative.I invested in a portable step so now we have the option to put the step down when needed & store it out the way when not in use. It's also ideal that because it's not really massive or very heavy, I can take it in the car so my mum can get in & out easier as my car is also quite high up. So anyone who might not be able to carry heavy weights can probably still move this step around without too much issue.Due to its size, it stores nicely away out of sight under our bureau next to the front door, making it easy to retrieve when needed & quick to hide when not in use (second photo). It is thick enough plastic that it shouldn't crack or shatter with normal use & appears sturdy enough to hold a considerable weight (Although I'm not actually sure what the maximum weight-bearing load is).Its feet are wide enough to make it stable & not likely to rock when stood on. It sits nicely even on top of our other doormat, so we haven't got to pick one up to put another down.It also seems to have enough grip to make it antislip in wet weather, which is a relief as I was worried that in trying to solve one problem I would be inadvertently creating another when stepping on a plastic step with wet feet.I would recommend this step as it has proven to be invaluable.
