To get the rest to fit, the waist would be a little too tight. These shorts fit him perfectly and he was happy they have pockets. The material is nice and sturdy and doesn't wrinkle very easily. They are durable too. The only thing I wish they had was a faux zipper piece of material in the front to make them look a little dressier. The pockets make him happy, too. The color is a very dark navy, and was a perfect match for the school's required uniform, but at a fraction of the price of their distributor's product. The cost was important to me, as he is growing so quickly that these will likely only last one season. So far, I have washed them 4-5 times and have seen no signs of wear.
