This is a great unit.
I ordered an Atoto F7 WE I instead installed an Atoto F7 XE. Glad I got the switch since the XE model has a Sirius/xm tuner. Having said that this is a great unit as far as sound goes and a very acceptable unit over all. First I have to say if you’re unsure about installing radios or unwilling to read instructions definitely have this installed by a professional this is a confusing install and I have installed over 75 stereos and xm receivers. I had a small issue with this install but quickly resolved the issue and the radio works fine. Having said that I have had issues getting the mirror link to work but I have not given up on it as yet. I will update if I figure it out. The sound quality with pioneer door speakers is exceptional especially concisering the price, it could be better but only just slightly. Don’t let this turn you away as I coincided myself a very picky person when it comes to sound quality and I really enjoy the sound from this radio. The wireless Apple CarPlay works flawlessly for me and the radio connects almost instantly after starting my car. The Apple CarPlay apps work great as well. The quick charge I cannot say much about as it uses usb a and my charge cable uses usb c so I need to buy a new cable to give that a proper test. I am quite satisfied with this stereo over all. It can also have front and rear cameras installed if you’re willing to buy them. It also includes a connection for pre existing steering wheel controls. The touch screen is very responsive and clear. I also appreciate the brightness control for dim, medium and bright. I would suggest this to anyone who wants both wireless Apple CarPlay and a great sounding radio.

Would be even better if the FM radio tuner strength wasn't so bad!
The OE head unit in my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee went out and I since there was a double DIN dash provision available, I decided to opt for a touchscreen unit with Android Auto. Due to the 96-98 Grand Cherokees technically having a 1.5DIN opening, a regular double-DIN unit won't work, with the only options (without modification) being L-shaped units which are much more expensive. I had initially purchased an "L-shaped" head unit from a different brand, but the radio chassis was on the bottom, instead of up top where I needed it. With my dash torn apart, I desperately searched for something that could fit with some minor modification to the dash without spending $600 on a unit. I came across this Atoto unit and noticed it has a very shallow chassis, just shallow enough to fit between the dash bezel and the opening in my Jeep's dash. I was a bit skeptical of this brand, but with overnight delivery available and being super cheap, I gave it a try. With some modifications to the dash as well as the Metra dash kit and trimming down this unit's included 2-DIN side mounts down to 1-DIN, I was able to make it fit and it looks decent!First off with the good... The shallow chassis was what allowed me to fit this in my application. There is also a large community of users offering lots of information on various issues you may encounter. This unit offers a lot of customization options, including being able to select your vehicle's logo as the unit's startup screen (in a hidden menu). If your vehicle has resistive steering wheel controls, you may not even need a steering wheel interface adapter, although since I already had a PAC unit, I connected it through the unit's 3.5mm SWC jack. A menu allows you to set the steering wheel buttons to do whatever you want. The sound seems fine through my Jeep's factory Infinity sound system (and factory amp). Android Auto via bluetooth seems to work well. Phone conversations are clear and feedback from those on the phone with me say I sound clear (I am using the included external microphone and have it mounted to the steering column). Now for the bad...The FM radio tuner in this unit is very weak. My Jeep uses a conventional 36" non-amplified whip antenna and with the original factory radio, and I never had issues with radio reception for the 13 years I've had this vehicle. With the Atoto unit, FM radio reception is not the greatest. I get stations, yet when I am driving, the signal comes and goes as I drive past buildings and sound walls and under overpasses. It sounds like someone is constantly turning the volume up and down. Surprisingly though, AM works very well, with no electrical noise from the engine (Jeep has new plugs and wires). I had tried an antenna signal booster to improve the FM reception, yet there was little to no improvement, and the signal booster completed wrecked the AM performance. I've also tried both the original antenna and an interior windshield antenna connected together with a Y adapter. Yet despite commuting in a major city with many of the stations located here, the FM radio would make you think I was driving out in a rural area. I may see if the manufacturer has any solutions... maybe my unit's faulty. I've checked the cabling to the factory antenna and it tests good.Out of the box, this unit had a horrible beep sound when pressing buttons. It required updating the unit's firmware to restore the menu function to switch it off. Also, when pressing the mic button (mapped to a button on the steering wheel) it summons the Google assistant on my phone instead of the Google assistant on Android Auto. Lastly, out of the box, the radio function was much louder than the rest of the functions of the unit, including Android Auto. The fix was to access the hidden menu and adjust the radio volume gain down a bit. Why is this option behind a passcode hidden menu? This could be a fantastic unit. The user community on the internet has had working solutions for everything except the weak radio signal and the glitched mic button. I will update this review if I am able to solve these two remaining issues, or if Atoto releases a firmware fix for them.

Cheap - and easy
Always look for a simple unit like this when I get a new (old) vehicle. One annoyance I had was there is no setting to silence the "beep" when pushing face buttons. This was resolved via software update after contacting customer support!Unit is very responsive and screen is pretty bright. For about $100 can't complain.

Bad customer support.
Be warned this unit is nice for the price but its a crap shoot on software support. The company wont publicly share the firmware nor do they answer there support tickets i sent in 3 request to get a updates nothing but crickets. I bought two units 4 months apart and they look company different but same model numbers. The later is much better one but why advertise updates when you wont offer them. Just bad support.

BEEP IS ANNOYING. BLUETOOTH FORGETS TO CONNECT EVERY NOW AND THEN
LACK OF ANDROID OS SURPRISED ME. NOT MANY FEATURES TO UPDATE OR ADJUST. THE LACK OF ABILITY TO SILENCE THE TOUCH BEEP IS ANNOYING. REALLY ANNOYING. I FIND I NEED TO RESET BLUTOOTH QUITE OFTEN TO HAVE WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO WORK. ITS A SHAME CAUSE I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE AN UPGRADE TO MY OTHER ATOTO HEAD UNIT. OH WELL.

Really impressed!
The install was pretty straightforward, adding wireless android wireless to my daughter's car to keep her hands off her phone was wonderful, but the big surprise was the audio quality improvement! I read many reviews here saying the audio was better and I kinda laughed. I was sure there was no way it would improve the old OEM paper speakers which sounded AWFUL on the factory head unit (we had planned to replace them). To my surprise, as soon as this started playing a song I knew that we could leave the speakers alone. This didn't turn them into audiophile quality speakers by any means, but it did make them completely decent, and for this old car that is good enough. Bright display, easy to use.If I had to complain about anything, it would be the mic. Several people have said we didn't sound great on calls, but it is good enough that they can understand.
