Interesting reading
I am a MJ fan, but still enjoyed reading the book. Some of the stuff was sensational, but it did seemed well researched. Some of the people interviewed had negative information but if they were fired employees, ect. I didn't believe all of it. Still it was interesting reading. MJ was a very interesting person.

readable but at times quite disgusting
This is the fourth book of MJ I have read, and the only unauthorised one. If you are a fan you'd better begin with the last chapter - Epilogue. That are the most sensible pages. My most impressive sentence of this book's found in this chapter: 'However weird the whole package, in Michael we all recognised something of ourselves.'This book is full of allegation from MJ's ex domestic helpers, guards, which frankly speaking, are hard to prove whether it is true or not. To me, their allegation on MJ's relation with Bubbles and his toileting habit, is really disgusting and unbelievable. Some allegation proved to be wrong as time goes by, like, E. Taylor is not friend of MJ at all and they did not eat together even in Neverland... This is a wrong oberservation or simply a fabrication of fact from MJ's former housekeeper. Some alleged he has molested the child stars. But they are still friends of MJ when they grew up. It leaves to the readers whether these stories are to be believed. The author's attitude is : No matter what MJ do, he writes something bad. I hope this is out of the personal hatred of the author rather than pleasing the mood of general readers in US at that time. If MJ did not cry when he presented a gift to the sick, he was heartless. If MJ stayed in his limo parked near the grave of his grandmother, MJ is said to want to enjoy A/C instead of joining the funeral. But I like these little stories on MJ with other stars, like Liza M., Marlon B., Katherine H......His implication that MJ's using of others' melody for his songs is also a serious one. I do have interest to dig deep to see whether it is true.Trying to be a sensible fan, it is recommended to read something unauthorised, only that in reading you have to be constantly conscious of the right and wrong of the stories.

King of Pervs
One of the best books about MJ. It does go into preferential child abuse and quotes from the F.B.I. manual . It appears that the staff wouldwarn parents. Shame Joy Wade didn't listen. Anderson dedicates the book "To the children" To MJ's victims. Much info has been confirmedby time.

great read
I see many people do not like the book, but they don't like what is said in the book, not that it was poorly written, which it is not poorly written.True MJ fans do not like hearing the truth of the life this poor fellow had and what he did with it. Aside of all of that, this book is incredablly detailed, holds the reader firmly and always interested.

Great
This book, written in 1994, was ahead of its time. In it it mentions Jackson`s pill addiction even way beack in the 80s. Alot of Jackson fans back then just didn`t (or couldn`t) believe that he was addicted to drugs and so they just flipped this book off as nonsense. But, as we now know, the truth has finally come out and Jackson was highly addicted to prescribed drugs, it`s what possibly killed him. There`s some interesting information about his child molestation charges in 1993. There`s even some rare pictures of michael holding hands with young boys. This book will probably never ever get released again so i would highly recommend you track it down if you want to know more about jackson`s offstage life. And michael Jackson fans will probably not like what they read in this book. Much of the info in this book will get swept under the carpet and the Jackson family will hope that none of this information in this book ever surfaces again.

A well researched account of Michael Jackson's life
This is one of the best biographies I have read on MJ. It is incredibly well researched and portrays his different sides. The only shame is that it was published in 1994 and therefore there is nothing on his life past this date. Perhaps a part two?
