Kids loved putting it together
Got different wood puzzle guns for my teenage kids. My eldest got this together in under an hour. Works great and likes it.

Great kit but with a few issues
First off I can only go with a max of 4 star with this kit and would go with more of a 3.5 if I could because I feel the couple of issues are something that is easy to address in software or small equipment adjustments. The kit general design and function is fantastic so I will start there. Once assembled the semi-auto and single shot function is very nice and works well. The folding stock and magazine release are other gimmicks on this kit that are wonderful additions. Once all the plates are installed you need to ensure you put all the pins into the slots otherwise it will be loose. Once the pins are in place the kit becomes very sturdy and I didn't see any issues with the overall design or engineering. Now into the problems. The first one which I find to be an issue especially after I have been a builder for years is that the laser cutting on this kit was essentially, terrible. I may have just got the dud kit that was the last run of the day and the laser was out of calibration or dirty but the bottom line is that the cutting was well below what even a cheap cutter can do when properly set up. Some of the parts were not even close to cut through and getting them out was well beyond the simple trim with a blade to release them method. I had to cut trace through so many of the pieces to avoid breaking them that it significantly added to the build time. This is more of an unsuspected annoying aspect rather than a deal breaker as I have built stamped kits in the past so I understand how to get parts out using a blade but modern lasers when set up properly shouldn't have this issue.Second issue is that the instructions and method of parts labeling are absolutely garbage. The parts labeling are just numbers (1,2,3) and not broken down by panel (A1, B37, C76, ECT..) so in addition to having to cut out the parts the part searching on the panels was very random in conjunction with the instructions that were very ambiguous in many of the areas. I say this as I got this kit to build with my son who is younger but competent in his building and comprehension but he didn't bother with it and I built it myself.Thirdly but not a big deal was the hinges and some of the parts holding methods used. Toothpicks are used to hinge and hold major parts together which I didn't care for. In addition to that you will run out of toothpicks if you install and cut them how the instructions show. If you don't have extra round toothpicks laying around the house then you need to be smart in how you use the limited supplies. This gun is more decorative and neat looking but they could also supply more than the bare minimum of rubber bands in addition supply the correct sizes of rubber bands because you have to tie and cut a band for the interior trigger areas when a couple of added small bands in the kit would be welcome. The amount of band supplied is really the bare minimum as well considering you will lose or break them eventually and these rubber bands are shorter than typical shooting bands so you will have to look around for replacement ones should you lose or break them.I know it sounds like dread but back to the start of the review. The kit itself is designed well and functions great. I would not recommend this kit for a beginner or someone without a few basic modeling tools for assembly because you will need them if you get one like I got. Had I not had experience building bare kits in the past this would have been far more than annoying to build but it wasn't so terrible and the only real issue with the kit led to time wasted. They have a good product but honestly need to refine it to make it a 5 star. Fix the labels on the panels, the instructions, and calibrate or get a better laser cutter and this kit would be a winner for everyone. In it's current state I would only recommend this kit for experienced modelers or those with patience and a good grasp of 3D spacial visualization. When compared to other competition in these kits this is towards the bottom even though it's one of the best designs out there.

Really cool design!
This is a really cool project to sit down and do with a teenage son. My son and I have been working on this rubber band gun for a few nights now. I will admit that it's a bit rough to get together in some parts. They give you everything you need to succeed at building this project, it's just takes a little mechanical know how or just the ability to follow instructions. It is fun and challenging!

Terrible instructions
My 12 year old enjoyed the idea of this, but ended up getting way too frustrated with the build. Not recommended.

Fun to Use, Challenging to Assemble
My son put this together and he loves it. He was amazed that it was so inexpensive. He did say that putting it together was a pain because the directions and photos were so small and it was difficult seeing and separating some of the pieces. That is we are rating this 4-stars instead of 5-stars.After it is put together, he says it works really well and he would give it 5-stars!

Details Galore
Whoever worked on this, really wanted to do a good job, and I'd say they succeeded. The attention to detail is evident.Builds well, looks good, sounds good, operates well and the price is relativity low. This is a winner.

poor instructions
The illustrations in the instructions are extremely small and difficult to read. Incorrect assembly will result in a non-working item that cannot be disassembled and restructured. I've done a lot of wooden puzzle kits, and I can't help but think that toothpicks were a bad choice for key part assembly and stability.

It's fun!
The media could not be loaded. It is a fun rubber band gun that can fire quickly. Beware, it does take some time to assemble and at times may be a little hard to remove some of the wood pieces. I did have a few pieces that chipped but overall it was still functional. Once fully assembled, it feels sturdy and can handle 7 rubber bands without issue.

Way too HARD
Previously I purchased two ROKR wooden guns rated 14yrs which my 12 year old son put together and had a massive smile achieving the build. Everything needed was included in the box and instructions were clear and easy to follow. This Calibre gourmet gun rated 10years + was not completed because the instructions were not clear and putting it together was very difficult, not challenging but hard. Also two items that you require were not included, unlike the ROKR guns.I buy these so my son uses his hands and mind to construct and feel good accomplishing the build and even with an adult assisting the task was not fun by any means. From this experience we will always stay with the ROKR weapons and puzzles. They are challenging fun to make and achievable. Thanks ROKR we love your productsCharlie
