These sensors are very easy to set up using the TAPO app and can then be paired with other TAPO devices to do many different things. I use them to automatically turn on TAPO LED lights in my kitchen for night-time lighting and they have been 100% reliable so far. Sensitivity can be changed in the app, for example if you have pets that you dont want to trigger the sensor and you can set all sorts of notifications if need be. The battery included is still going after nearly a year in place and it stays connected to my wifi with no issues. I would say that these are incredible value for money, look good, work great and are easy to use especially if you are familiar with TAPO products.

I’ve been really impressed with the Tapo T100 motion sensor. Setup was quick and straightforward through the Tapo app, and it paired with my hub without any issues. Within a few minutes I had it triggering lights in my kitchen. The automation options are very flexible. I was able to set it so the lights only come on when motion is detected between sunset and sunrise, which is perfect for nighttime trips to the kitchen without having lights turning on during the day. The motion detection itself has been reliable so far. It picks up movement quickly and consistently without lots of false triggers. The sensor is also very small and discreet, so it doesn’t stand out once it’s mounted. Battery life is rated at up to a couple of years, although in a busy room like a kitchen where there’s a lot of movement being detected, I suspect it may need changing sooner. That said, it’s easy to access the battery and replace it when needed. Overall it’s a great little sensor for the price and integrates nicely with the rest of the Tapo ecosystem. If you already use Tapo smart plugs, bulbs or switches, this is an easy way to add some useful automations around the house.

These are brilliant little things. We now have 2 in our house and are looking at a third They perform great, very accurate and are so small you hardly notice them. I forget they're there until the light turns on! They connect to the app and the rest of my tapo devices with ease and the in app features are so practical and easy to use and set up You can set these up with routines, so that they only activate between certain times of the day and will active your bulbs to whatever % brightness and colour you like. This is great for us, because we have one of our sensors set up to turn the light on 10% for when we get up in the middle of the night to use the loo. Nothing worsenthan being half asleep and turning a light on full brightness! I like how they come with different fitting options. They come with self adhesive pads, which are super strong and are magnetic, we have one on the side of our fridge and you can screw them in place if you feel it's needed Just a shame they're not waterproof, because I would love one in the garden to activate the lights at home in case an intruder came Great price when on offer, very happy with these

Cheap and works well Let down by the lack of light level detection

recently installed the Tapo Motion Sensor in my home, and I’ve been really impressed with its performance. The setup was incredibly straightforward—just download the app, connect the device, and you’re good to go. The sensor itself is compact and sleek, easily blending into any space without being intrusive. What really stands out is the sensor’s accuracy. It detects motion quickly and reliably, activating lights and devices almost instantly when I walk into a room. The sensitivity is adjustable, so I can fine-tune it to my preferences. It also works well in various lighting conditions, which is a huge plus for me. One of the best features is the integration with other smart devices. I’ve linked it with my Tapo smart lights, and it’s great to have the lights turn on automatically as soon as I enter a room. I also appreciate that it has a good range, detecting movement from a decent distance. Battery life has been solid, and I’ve had no issues with connectivity or false triggers. The Tapo Motion Sensor is an excellent addition to my smart home setup, offering convenience and reliability. Overall, if you’re looking for a motion sensor that’s easy to set up, works well, and integrates smoothly with other smart devices, I highly recommend this one.

I got this sensor as I’m automating my home gradually. Firstly the size is tiny, it’s hardly noticeable when positioned in the corner of my room so it’s very discrete. Once set up, which was so easy on the app and then with the Alexa functionality it was great to see it working. The motion detection is fantastic, very sensitive and very accurate, it has not missed a detection yet. The design is tiny and has lovely soft rounded edges. It has an articulating joint so once stuck on the wall it can then be moved to see the best angle without having to remove it from its fastening. It is a nice bright white colour, which hides itself well next to a skirting board or the white of coving in the corner of a room. I’m going to buy more of these little beauties now and enjoy automating the rest of my house!

So simple to set up, turn on, and click a few links in the tapo app. Voila. Fantastic piece of kit. We have smart bulbs all over the house and the living room we use this sensor in, I was fed up of the children turning the switches on and off on a morning before school (I like to be able to have the lights turned on and off when not home which can't happen if it's turned off by the switch) so I linked this to the room lamp, and now whenever you enter the room the lamp turns on so no more do the children touch the switches. It's genius. I will be purchasing more Haven't had it long so not sure how long the battery life is, but you can easily stand this on any counter shelf or worktop without needing to use the sticky pad, so it's easy to move around of needed.

As always, Tapo never fails to disappoint. Easy to set up and install. I have several of these for automations and they do what they are required to do.

I do rate Tapo kit, and these senses are invaluable. Pretty sure they don’t need to be so expensive though.

Nach eine halben Jahr im Betrieb kann ich folgendes sagen: Habe in meinem Smartphone nahezu alles von Kasa, bzw. tapo. Die Qualität ist gut. Das DashBoard ist gut verwendbar und reicht für meine Vorhaben (Heizkörpertgermostate, Licht, Licht, Bewegungssteuerung, Feuchtesensore, Schalter sehr gut aus. Hatte überlegt eine Home Assistent Lösung zu bauen, bin aber froh, das ich es so auch gut umsetzen könnte....
