I tried everything to clean the intake hood in my carpet steam cleaner , this hooked it out with some finagling and moving around , It's a tight slot to get into but with patients it gets it out . I had to wet the stuff stuck in there to soften it to finally get it to move . My advice is clean it right after useing to keep it from hardening in between the plastic parts while it's still wet and soft

Is a little thick to fit in the slots of my machine . The t end does not go in more then an inch. The tooth end does reach all the way to the top. Gets the job done but takes a little extra work.

These are so helpful in cleaning the Bissel carpet clean and I've found that adding a wet very thin cloth or papertowel allows me to really get the gunk and hair cleaned out really well. Fabulous tool!
