Pretty good little robot!
I have a small house on a little farm, so to say we track in some dirt is an understatement. Before it's first run, I swept up the dog hair and dirt because it was just a LOT - and I wanted to give Dirt Reynolds a fighting chance on his first run. I was astounded at how much additional dirt and dog hair it picked up when it ran. I was truly impressed with the suction power and its ability to get edges and corners with the air puffing thing and the swirly brush. I need to play around with the water flow for the mopping feature. I put it on regular flow for the first run because I was afraid it would run out of solution/water, but there was still 50% left for an 700-ish sq. ft. area. So I'll put it on high flow for the next run. It does not do a "pro" mop job, but if I run it a few times a week I expect that it will keep the floors cleaner than I do myself throughout the week...then if I am having company I can always run a sweeper mop myself to make it truly shine. The mapping was actually really accurate. When I saw the map, I could tell that it mapped under the furniture that it could get under, and for me that's worth it's weight in gold to get it clean under those spots on a regular basis. To not have to move some tables and credenzas...money in the bank! It's not too noisy - I keep my dogs in my home office with me while it runs around the rest of the house and it's not noisy enough to cause them alarm. It is loud enough when there is an error and it talks to you. When it's in mop mode it can't self-empty the dust bin, so it called out to me that it needed to be emptied before it could move on with the job. Overall I'm super pleased. I think it's a great investment and will save me from a lot of constant sweeping and mopping!

Disappointing for the price
I have all hardwood floors so wanted to buy the best mopping vac I could find. The “gps” mapping part of this is terrible. It learned my floor well and lets you do “no go” and “carpet” zones. However, 50% of the time it will accurately do just my kitchen (if I select that room), then the other it will go try to mop my living room rug that it’s literally never supposed to touch. Then I think the fluid reservoir design is small for this unit when it’s bought specifically for mopping. In normal mode it will do my hardwood floors about once, then I have to take the head off and go refill it, defeating the purpose of not having to touch it for a while The vacuuming part is decent or what I expected, but I’m disappointed with the mopping quality and fluid refilling Update 10/19/25 one of these still performs normal while the other repeatedly spins circles on my “never go” (rug) zones like it’s trying to gain a gps/map connection. Literally every single time it only goes where it’s never supposed to go. Then it gets stuck and never makes it to the 1 room it was supposed to go straight to. The “bad” unit is no longer able to spray fluid down at all (but does attempt to mop). Shark is zero help, but Reddit is full of people explaining how to manually restart/prime this unit (not in the instructions) which I can hard reset but it still can’t pump fluid After 4 months I wish I returned these within the 30day window but can’t and am considering just throwing $1,000 away Update 12/22/25 (1 of 2) continues to function as it should while still a big disappointment. But the (2 of 2) brand new unit is unable to navigate its perfect map it made, and is completely unable to mop. It doesn’t even give me the mop option in the app (or spray manually) it’s just a crappy vacuum. Going to throw this one in the garbage and buy another Roborock to replace it I guess

So far love it
I had the Neato Botvac D7 for years. That machine started off great, however shortly begin giving us issues disconnecting, not recognizing the floor plan, failed parts that my husband replaced several times, app failure. Neato didn't make improvements to the app to fix the issues and finally it was just dead. I considered irobot but couldn't afford it with our crap economy right now, so I saw this shark. I've had other shark products and loved them so I wanted to try this one and luckily snagged it on sale. So far I'm in love with this vacuum, far superior to the almost $1000 Neato I had. Some people complained about the battery life, the fact that you have to swap out the moping head, and that it needs to doc to empty often. However, none of those both me. Some things are the way they are in order to keep the machine small and lightweight. It is slower than my old Neato and has to charge more often, but I'll tell you that it does a MUCH better job actually picking up debris than my old one. I'm glad its slower, as it should be. How can it clean when its zipping around your house? The mop head should be changed out because you need to fill the reservoir and change the cleaning pad anyway, so who cares. Plus, you're likely not going to mop every day. The app functions well and is easy to use. This mapped my 3000 sq home 1st time no prob. I added no go zones and identified rugs easily. The app lets you schedule a whole house cleaning but I'm sure you could also schedule room or specific zone cleanings if you create other maps just for those areas, but haven't tried it yet. I clean my whole home every day. So far I love it. We'll see if any issues arise after a while.

Little robot that could
Okay, for light work, the little vac does really well, like areas that are not heavily used, keeps that area nice and swept up, but put it with 2 German Shepards, and me, that thing can’t keep up at all. The dogs let it do its thing and they move out of its way, the vac cannot keep up with the fur nor get it all when it goes through the house every morning before anyone gets up. The bigger problem is we can only schedule one cleaning per robot, and these things are not cheap to have multiple, but we find we have to get under the kitchen/dining room tables because it can’t get there, and it blows a lot of fur in a corner that it can’t get to because of a chair in its way. I also found that it blows fur under the dining room hutch, and china cabinet, more then would be if there wasn’t something blowing extra fur under there, BUT, for the positive side of things, the little power house it is does pick up a lot of fur and dirt and everything else it can get swept up

Superior replacement for our old robot vacuum cleaner
I’ve waited a couple of months to give this Shark AI robot vacuum cleaner a thorough review so that I would have the opportunity to fully discover its pros and cons. We recently moved to a new home, so when we first set up the robot vacuum cleaner, the house was in disarray and I was worried about the mapping function - given that we had not arranged our furniture the way we wanted it, or even purchased all our new furnishings. So I figured it would take some time to truly assess how the robot vacuum performed and adjusted as we settled into the house. While our previous robot vacuum cleaner (that we retired once we moved into this new home) was not a Shark model, we are familiar with Shark vacuum cleaners. One of the three handheld vacuum cleaners we own is a Shark, and we also own the Shark HydroVac XL 3-in-1 Vacuum, Mop, and Self-Cleaning System. We have a generally favorable view of the brand and were excited to try this robot vacuum out. Overall, we have definitely found this to be an upgrade from our previous robot vacuum cleaner and it performs much better - but not without a few minor issues which I will outline below. PROS: - Set up is quite simple and does not take a huge amount of time. The functions are relatively easy to figure out and we managed to get the robot vacuum launched and running quickly - sending it out to map the house. - It performs extremely well on our hardwood floors, and thankfully, the vast majority of our home consists of hardwood flooring. - We are satisfied with the vacuum and mopping features. Having owned robot vacuums before, we understand that they are not meant for deep cleaning but to perform regularly daily maintenance to prevent your house from becoming overly filthy in between actual manual deep cleans. If you keep this in mind and are not expecting deep cleaning wonders, then the performance will likely meet expectations for the most part. - Having the self-empty bin is highly convenient and we don’t feel the need to supervise the vacuum as much, which often defeats the purpose of having a robot vacuum. Sometimes, with our old robot vacuum, it would stop cleaning because it needed to be emptied and we were not around to do it. - Navigation, while not 100% flawless, is much better than previous robot vacuums we have owned so far. - This Shark robot vacuum goes back and forth over spots, and seems more thorough with cleaning - especially since it makes an effort with edges and corners. - It performs pretty well with pet hair, which doesn’t seem to jam it up or get tangled very much. - The suction is strong for a vacuum this size! - You can set up no-go zones via the app. - The app is quite functional, and while I felt that it lacked a few features that I would have liked to see (such as the ability to track the vacuum’s movements remotely and see where it is in the house, and the ability to name some rooms correctly because the app just does not offer those room names, like guest bedroom), it still offers a lot of helpful options that should satisfy a lot of the average user’s needs. And while the wish features we found lacking would have been very nice to have, we ultimately find ourselves doing fine without them. CONS: - Mapping in the app is kind of a mess and not very intuitive. I felt that this could have been better designed. - While the robot’s navigation is better than our old robot vacuum, we felt that it had difficulty generating a very accurate map. We are not sure if this could be attributed to the fact that we had just moved in, as I mentioned, and things were in constant disarray. Between the robot and the app, it took us a while to get the mapping sorted to our satisfaction. I highly recommend that you do not do what we did by setting up the robot vacuum while your house isn’t in perfect order with 100% clear pathways. Wait until your home is tidy and more or less the way it normally appears. - The self-empty bin is so helpful but in our household at least, it fills up faster than the product claims. Having said that, we are a pet household, so we might have more debris than the average house. - While this is a dual action robot vacuum and will clean both hard floors and carpet, I find that it sometimes has issues switching between the hardwood floors and a rug. Of course, a rug is not a carpeted floor, and I don’t know if this is an important factor. We don’t have any carpeted floors so I cannot comment on how it performs in that regard. However, there is some clunkiness and inefficiency around cleaning and navigating around small rugs (especially if the robot vacuum is trying to mop the floors and one of the rugs is in the way). We are still trying to figure out the best way to have the robot vacuum not run over the rug with a wet mop attachment and get it wet - which could happen even if it does not actively “mop” the rug. - The robot vacuum is a bit noisier than we expected. Overall, we are still very happy with this robot vacuum and it’s the best one we have owned so far. If you are considering buying one, I definitely recommend investing in the version with the self-emptying chamber. It has made our life a lot easier!

A Shark Fan - But This is Garbage
I will preface this review by saying I’m a Shark fan. I have replaced almost all my Dyson vacuums with Shark as I have found the suction and reliability much better. I trust the brand and engineering, but this has been a big miss. The singular issue I have with this product is unfortunately the largest aspect with a robot vacuum - connectivity. This vacuum will disconnect from the Shark servers constantly and require repairing, which is unreliable and flukey in itself. We have found this vacuum loses connection between 24-72 hours after each use. This means, you need to manually initiative the reconnection process. The reconnection process takes patience as you can follow the sequence of directions and the vacuum will respond differently at times. I have never not been able to repair, but having to do this every time I use the product is ridiculous. Shark must be aware of this issue as the last step of repairing is automatically registering the product. Not to mention the many other reviews sharing the same sentiment. The worst part of all this? It works great when it runs! This is why I’m giving it two stars. If it could stay connected it would be a five star product. For background context, I do believe this issue lies on Shark’s servers. During reconnection, this process step will stall and fail frequently. I consider myself tech savvy with an array of IoT solutions across my household. My home network has been referred to as overkill. This is the only product that experiences these connection issues. Again, not trying to flame the brand, I like Shark. However, I sit here looking at a product that has almost no utility for us as it has failed in the big selling points - vacuuming without human intervention. I’m outside of the return period and really wish I would have went with the Roborock deal at Costco, at least I would have had the support of the retailer with this ongoing issue. If the folks at Shark or Amazon see this and want to make it right, I would be willing to try a replacement to see if it’s a lemon unit or structural product failure.

This could have been great if it weren’t for the small but important deficiencies.
As a fan of Shark products, I really wanted to like this, but it just fell short of the mark. Here are some pros and cons from my experiences since October 2024 ~ Pro: Suction! It picks up pretty much anything it rolls over. Spilled Dog food is a daily occurrence, and most of it is picked up on the first pass. ~ Con: Obstacle avoidance is inexistent. Overall, I would categorize it as blind. If the object is large, it runs into it, and if small, it runs over it. Having the brush roll or wheel stuck on an object is a common occurrence. ~ Pro: Self-empty is great; when the BOT dust bin is full, it empties itself into the hub and then returns to doing the job. My bot is mapped for roughly 1600 sq and will return to the station once during the cleaning to empty the dust bin ~ Neutral: It cannot self-identify between carpet and hard floors. My house is 90% hardwood, so it’s not a big deal to me, but the bathroom mats become an issue when the mop is attached ~ Con: It doesn’t like the dark. The primary reason I bought this is because it fits under my couches, and I’m annoyed by the amount of dust that collects there. When the room lights are on, the bot will go under the couch; however, if it's dark, it will most of the time avoid these areas. I feel like a simple LED light would not have solved this problem with minimal drain on the battery or performance ~ Neutral: The mop fluid container is small, with about 800 sq. of coverage before it's empty. Shark does offer another (higher) model that allows itself to refill, but even then, at the rate of use, it will likely empty that depot within a few runs ~ Con: The app allows users to define rooms but requires the use of rectangles to do so. Having to create and link multiple rectangles to cover rooms is unnecessary when a simple drawing function would be excellent. ~ Pro: I have a house full of long-haired women and have broken many vacuums across the years. The Self-Cleaning Brushroll is not perfect, but the build-up is comparably low, and I doubt it will be the reason this product dies ~ Neutral: Overall, mopping is okay. It doesn’t miss any spot, but sticky items require personal attention ~ Con: It gets lost: At first, I only mapped part of my house, as the kids' rooms always have stuff on the floor and should never be visited by the bot. Sure enough, whenever their doors are open, it wanders in and gets stuck on something. ~ Con: While you can set a cleaning schedule in the app, it's all or nothing. As mentioned before, you can dictate the area of a room, but you can’t choose what rooms should be cleaned when a cleaning is scheduled. As mentioned before, the BOT doesn’t need to be in rooms with known obstacles I will continue to update as life goes on

Complete disaster — replaced TWICE and broken again
We bought this Shark robot vacuum on Prime day about 14 months ago. In a little over a year, Shark has already had to replace the entire unit TWICE, and our third one is now broken to the point that it is unusable. The most frustrating part is that the exact same poorly designed plastic pieces keep breaking. The dust cup on the vacuum is held in place by small plastic spring-loaded clips. The tabs on those clips have broken off three separate times, usually while the vacuum is simply doing its job and bumps into furniture. And one of the plastic clips that holds the mop attachment in place also broke recently and that’s the second time that piece has broken (and we don’t even use the mop that much). These are tiny, inexpensive-looking plastic parts, but Shark apparently does not sell them separately. So instead of replacing a $5 part, customer service replaces the ENTIRE ROBOT. Then we get to set up a new machine and spend hours having it remap the house all over again. Customer service has also been a pain to deal with. They have eventually replaced the units, but getting there has been frustrating and time-consuming—and replacing the whole vacuum clearly doesn’t solve anything when the replacement has the same design flaw. At this point we’ve had three of these machines fail in essentially the same way. That is ridiculous for a robot vacuum that originally cost $369. For comparison, we also own an iRobot that we’ve had for several years. It has never broken. I would absolutely not buy this Shark again and cannot recommend it. The features are great when it works, but that doesn’t matter when cheap plastic components repeatedly make a $369 vacuum unusable.

Excelente Producto.

It was great, until it wasn't
This machine worked great, until it didn't. I have 2 two dogs and it kept up with all the shedding during the summer months (when I preferred to be outside). However..... The machine lasted 3 years. So that means it cost $333/year to own it and use it. I kept getting Error 10 (place on a level surface). I went through all the trouble shooting tips before contacting Shark. In the end, I was told that the POD (the main unit that the dust bin comes out of) needed to be replaced. Shark offered me a 30% discount on a brand new unit of my choosing. I asked if there was a replacement POD that I could purchase. There was. So I asked for a discount on the POD. I was refused. Shark would rather fill landfills with waste and have their customers buy a brand new unit. What ever happened to fixing something that's broken, rather than throw it away? I own a lot of Shark and Ninja products, but not anymore. I'll be purchasing another brand moving forward.
