Easy to use
I recently got my hands on the Insta360 X3, it's been a solid addition to my camera gear. First off, the waterproof feature is great. I took it along on a beach trip, and I didn't have to stress about splashes or accidental drops in the water. The camera held up perfectly, capturing some amazing shots of my friends and the waves without a hitch. The image quality is impressive too. The 360-degree feature lets you capture everything around you, which really makes for some fun editing later on. I loved how easy it was to switch perspectives, and the detail in the footage is stunning. Even in low light, it performed better than I expected for a compact action camera. One thing I appreciated was how user-friendly it is. The app that comes with it is intuitive, and the editing features are straightforward, making it easy to create cool videos without spending hours fumbling around. Battery life has been decent, lasting through most of my outings, but I recommend keeping a portable charger if you plan on shooting all day. Just a little heads-up! Overall, the Insta360 X3 has been fantastic for capturing adventures. It's versatile, durable, and really fun to use. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something that can handle action and still deliver quality results

The Best Consumer 360 Camera Available
Okay I admit it, I am a fan of the Insta360 Cameras. Their range and ecosystem of Editor/Creator app for Smartphone/Tablet and PC/Mac make for an overall fabulous package. Both Camera and Software are fairly easy to learn and use. The latest update to the PC/Laptop package is a significant improvement over previous, being fully up with the mobile app. I bought the Insta360 X3 as an upgrade to my One X2 to gain the higher capabilities. The larger screen is a delight, I've never been a fan of the little circular screen of the One X2. Not only does it make for easier access to the camera's menus but also as a viewfinder it is so much clearer to see. The X3 is slightly thicker, not that its noticeable in the hand. The batteries of the X3 are not backwards compatible with its earlier models. The USBC charge door is now hinged on the X3 which not only makes it easier to access and use the USBC port but also does not suffer the risk of the older model's door tether breaking with wear and tear exposiong the door to loss. This may not seem a big deal, but it would be if you lost the door, where the camera would no longer be waterproof to any depth at all. Overall the X3 is a nice iterative update to the previous model. There are legions of reviews about the differences and how well the X3 works and what you can do with it that I will not attempt to duplicate here. Suffice to say, the Insta360 X3 is a great 360 camera that is unbeatable when considered as a whole with its companion Apps for Smartphone and PC/MacBook.

Expensive, but worth it
I use this camera every time I go out on the motorbike I have it mounted to a selfie stick attached to the bike. Travelling across Spain and the Pyrenees mountains I got some amazing shots and videos that will last a lifetime! If you’re looking for a camera that can do so much more than just take photos and videos I recommend this! Lasts about an hour and 20 minutes so unless you want to have a USB plugged in all the time you will need additional batteries which cost approximately €45 each and if you are outside of the UK that can prove very difficult to get them unless you are travelling via ferry as batteries like this are not allowed on a plane Unless they are in the unit they are designed for. Now that the motorcycle season is over, I also use this camera in my car as a taxi driver it covers inside and out. But I Long for next Bike season and the adventures to follow

Dead already
Absolutely unreliable piece of tech, occasionally shuts down or stops recording, Then randomly got hot and frozen during time lapse, since then display no longer turns on nor connects to the app over WiFi, only start up chime and led lights that's it. Insta360 tech support recommended sending to Hong Kong for warranty. And I have to pay for postage 😑 So no UK based tech support so off to Amazon it went for refund. Imagine if you purchased it for professional use or a planned holiday - your day and trip would be ruined and left in limbo for repair outcomes. Now it does capture amazing perspectives and the best 360 camera out there just don't rely on it , have alternatives ready

Comes With A Few Nasty Expensive Surprises
Even though I knew the Camera needs a phone app to activate it, I didn't know I needed a far more advanced phone for the app to work fully. I had no problem downloading the app to my 2020 Samsung Galaxy Edge & even activating the camera but I soon realised I had limited use of the app. So, I cant frame any footage or do much editing on my Samsung Galaxy Edge. I have however discovered a hidden feature within the app which people who have reviewed the camera, never talk about. Its a feature called "Direction" & when you enable it, the footage you export to your phone will only show where the front lens was pointing during filming. If you dont enable it, the Auto editing will point in random directions & despite what some people say about how great Auto editing is, I found it really frustrating as it sometimes locked on irrelevant objects & stayed there till the end or it will focus on your face throughout the entire clip. Of all the several different types of footage I allowed Auto Editing to export, not even one was good. So with limited app use, the "Direction" feature on the phone app has given me room to export some good footage while I save up to buy an iPhone next month. Another problem is the battery. If you use the camera as a dashcam, the amount of power the car charger puts into the camera is slower than the camera uses so it will eventually switch off after about one &half hours. You would definitely need one or two spare batteries. So, you cant use it as a dashcam unless you only want to film short clips. As for the desktop app...let me laugh first, loool. My computer completely froze for two hours & I had to find tedious backdoor ways to uninstall the app. Apparently, my ViewSonic 1080p full HD computer is too old for the app so I now also have to upgrade or buy a new 1920 laptop - which is not cheap. A reconditioned laptop with a 17" screen on Amazon, is currently over £300.00. So, for a reconditioned iPhone & reconditioned laptop, Im looking at spending not less than £700. This is on top of other Camera accessories I need like two spare batteries (£40 each), a charging port (£50), External mic (£50-£200), a 3m selfie stick (£90), a car mounting kit (£70), a carrier bag (£30), body & rucksack mounting kit (£20). Oh, & not forgetting the two year insurance I took out for accidental damage at £32. Is it worth it? A big YES!!!

You can't get the shot wrong
I love this little camera to chuck in the bag on quick trips. The picture quality isn't quite as good as the ONE RS, but I wanted something I could get in the water with on holiday. Then I fire up the software you can download with it and reframe any shot you need, so you really can't get it wrong. The stabilisation is banging and I've been using the selfie stick and holding up to give it a low drone feel. It's just a really good fun unit to have, I love it.

Good, but you should know its limits
The marketing material is quite misleading, it talks of 5k this and 4k that, but what you actually get at the end of the day is 1080p footage, that only really looks good in outdoor well lit scenes. I think they should at least mention that edited footage is 1080p. If you're thinking of buying this as a GoPro alternative and thinking you'll get 5k footage out of it, you're buying the wrong thing. If however you like the idea of a camera that you don't have to make sure your subject is always in frame, like skiing with kids, and 1080p is good enough, then this is actually a really good camera. My 3 star rating is because I found the marketing to be misleading. I was expecting a re-framable camera with higher quality output than 1080p. Had they marketed this as a 1080p camera then I'd rate it higher as it is good at what it does, just not good at what they pretend it does.

Good quality, straightforward to use with the help of a few tutorials. It’s heavy though.
Very happy with purchase and the bundle it came with. Lots of learning to do to learn how to get the best out of it but so far, I’ve found it fairly user friendly and there’s good YouTube tutorials to help you learn. My only gripe, and the fault is totally mine as a complete novice, is that it’s a bit heavy to have clipped on rucksack strap or worn on the head. For what I wanted it for, I probably should’ve researched a smaller option but the camera itself and how user friendly it is is very good.

Calidad imagen excelente + Software brutal e Intuitivo + Muy polivalente
