These are beyond gorgeous . . . I bought them for several reasons: I wanted a pair of diamond earrings with exceptional color and clarity, in a princess cut--set only in platinum, and 1/4 ctw is ideal, because the one carats I have are set in screw-backs, and though I wear them for work or going out, they are laborious and time-consuming to put in and out. These are simple push-backs, but fear not: they are not flimsy or light. The platinum is solid and has good heft to it, such that they feel secure. They're a breeze to get in and out and I wear them almost daily with everything. The stones are clean, bright, and scintillating, especially in light. The quality is unmistakable and far superior than larger stones with lesser color. I'm ridiculously happy with these, and though you can buy 1/4 ctw diamond studs for a fraction of the price here, the quality is so bad, it's not worth it. The point of a diamond is to sparkle . . . these fit the bill perfectly--they're tiny little dots on the ear lobe, sparkling and scintillating like nobody's business :-)I'm rarely motivated to write a review, but these earrings warrant gushing and then some. If you're on the fence and dithering about whether or not to buy these, get off the fence already, quit your dithering, and put them in your cart--you will not regret the purchase :-)Before you buy them, be clear about the obvious: the 1/4 ctw is exactly as the term states: TOTAL carat weight, e.g. each earring is 1/8 carat, so expect them to be tiny, perhaps suitable for a child or teenager. I love them because I'm petite, and already have a pair of 1/2 ctw and 1 ctw studs . . . so these round out my diamond collection nicely :-) As long as you expect small earrings, you'll be blown away by the stunning quality and dazzle of these, and you'll wear them to death--that's a guarantee!

The earrings looked nice but the platinum(?) post stripped within 2 months and the back of the earring wont stay on anymore. So now I have to find a local jeweler to fix this because there is seemingly no support for Amazon jewelry purchases. The fact these earrings with cost >1000$ and lasted less than 2 months is pretty insulting.

I ordered these diamonds for myself as a 50th wedding anniversary present. They were shipped and then delivered the very next day. Good service, so far. Upon examining the diamonds under a strong magnifying glass I discovered: They were a good color, and very clear, as stated. They are described as having a "good" cut. Not "very good". This is very important, apparently. In my case, "good" meant one diamond had a very nice cut, similar to what you see in drawings of a princess cut. The other diamond was not similar to the first one. The first one had a square, flat, table. The second one had a large rectangular, flat, table. I think they should be matched better. I wore them to my local jewelry shop and asked the jeweler what he thought. With just a casual glance at them on my ears, he said "they don't match very well". However, he also said he didn't think anyone would notice this as they are worn far apart from each other. Otherwise, he said they were still a good value, considering their color, clarity, carat weight, and platinum setting. So, basically, you get what someone else picks out for you. Customer Service at Amazon was very courteous and wrote up my concerns and sent them to their Jewelry Dept. Several Times. I waited for a reply, and waited, and finally got a reply explaining how to return them (if I wanted) and referred to the fact that if I received them from a "different FC" it would be a different address. What is a FC? Another call, and found out FC meant Fulfillment Center. ??? Anyways, good value or not, if I were to do this again, knowing what I know now, I would shop at a live shop with people and the jewelry right in front of me, to eliminate the hassle. By the way, by the time I finally got the correct address and procedure for returning them, I had become "attached" to the darn things thinking to myself "well, every diamond has it's own personality, no two are alike, etc." So call me crazy, I have grown fond of them now and just can't bring myself to return them. Still, buyer beware.

I bought these for my wife as a Christmas/birth of second child present. I was very pleased with the quality and price of the earrings. I wasn't going to bite initially because these were about $500 more than I wanted to spend but when they dropped just below $2K (my target) and according to the amazon price tracker website it was the lowest price ever, then it became a no brainer. The problem I had was I slept on it a night and the price went back up....I used Amazon's "tell us about a lower price" to another website that was having a sale and low and behold they dropped it back down to match that price. Way to go Amazon!!! The IGI certificate/appraisal said that they were .5 & .5 each color G-H, clarity VS1-VS2 and had an appraisal of $5,250. She had been wanting some of these earrings forever and 1ctw is the perfect size. She loves the screwbacks to keep them in place. We normally only spend a couple of hundred each on one another for Christmas so I broke the bank on this one, but the look on her face when she was expecting some other piece of jewelry inside the little box was priceless!!! Yes it was nerve racking buying sight unseen but since I was dealing with Amazon I knew that if these did not meeting my expectations then I would be able to return them and that gave me piece of mind to take the plunge.

Too small

This product definitely deserves more than two and half stars! [...]. The price was the best I could find, so I still decided to buy it, and I am glad I did. I chose free shipping, although Amazon upgraded it to two-day shipping. It only took 4 days from the time I placed the order to the day it arrived. The earrings are beautiful and sparkly. Since I don't know much about diamonds, I had them appraised and their quality is exactly as stated. I am satisfied with this product and Amazon's service. Why didn't I give it 5 stars, though? I only had this product a few months and I don't know how it will hold up.
