Not a “blue dot”
Not sure why this says “blue dot”. The optic I received was a red dot.

Nice Optic
So far very please with this. Replaced the battery with a quality one. Fit my dagger perfectly. Seems like it will hold up well, only time will tell.

Quality Red Dot that Stays at Zero!
I picked up this Trumpet (model RD3-029) from ADE Advanced Optics to see how it would perform as I usually use Swampfox or Holosun optics on my handguns. Red dots are necessary for me because they have worked wonders for those of us whose eyesight is getting poorer as they age.It came in a nice box and was packaged very well. Inside you get the optic, optic cover, screw for windage/elevation adjustments, allen wrenches, screws, lens cloth and a 1632CR battery to power it. It does NOT come with an optics plate so you'll need to provide your own if you need one.The optic itself has a 4 MOA dot with 7 brightness settings, with the lowest setting only visible by night vision. You can turn it on or off by holding the up or down arrow for 3 seconds. It also has shake'n'wake technology and auto/on off - TWO features that I demand from a red dot. If a sight does not have at least those two features I won't even consider it as modern optics have no excuse to NOT include those. It also has a side-loaded battery which also is a nice feature. I mean, who wants to constantly remove the optic to replace the battery? The sight itself is made out of aircraft aluminum and has a very solid and premium feel to it. This is an RMR footprint red dot, so if your firearm slide isn't cut for that then you'll need a separate optic plate.Does it work on my firearm? Let's find out. I zeroed it in at home with a laser bore sight at 30 feet and then took it to the range. In total, I put a total of 184 rounds through my S&W M&P 2.0 Performance Center and the zero didn't budge once! I stopped after every couple mags (23 rounds each) too, just to check to see if the zero had moved. It stayed right at the original zero the entire time. Obviously, zero is very important because despite what cool features it may have if a dot sight can't stay at zero it's worthless. This one proved it's worth to me.As far as longevity and durability is concerned, I can't speak to that right now since I haven't had it for very long but I see no reason why it will not last if you take the necessary care and concern (i.e. don't drop it). I use my pistols for the range and home defense so I'm not running around with them like a soldier so I anticipate that this will definately last for me. However, if anything changes in the future I will certainly update my review.I'm happy to report that this sight is a a keeper for me.

Do not buy; mine arrived DOA
Item description: Motion-activated red-dot, RMR mountBrand: ADEItem: B0B5VZ7KRMDate received: 2023-07-10Headline - Do not buy; mine arrived DOAProduct Claims1 ct, RMR mount red-dot, motion activatedI received exactly what was claimed in the product description, which arrived in an attractive pasteboard box. Unfortunately I was not able to get it to turn on so that the image was visible. I pulled out the included battery and checked the voltage - it measured 3.3V. I pushed the brightness button many times to try to get it to maximum brightness, and I moved the windage and elevation screws from lock to lock to try to find any image, in case it had arrived badly adjusted. Nothing. No sign that it was turning on, or capable of being turned on.Very disappointing as I was looking forward to trying this out. I cannot recommend it.

Mediocre Optic
I've been running this for a few months on a .22 WMR pistol, holding zero well. It is easy to see the dot and I've been leaving it active with shake awake and it is still running fine. The unit appears to be a cast part with a finish that makes it look more toy-like than professional making me wonder about the other aspects of quality in construction. It has no-click windage and elevation adjustments and OK that is a simpler design but lacks a feel of quality as well, but once you zero it's not used again and it is holding with fairly active recoil slamming. The price is attractive at $120 but not good enough for me to consider this for critical use. I have two other RDOs about $10 to 20 higher in cost that I would trust a lot more and are on a whole level above this optic. I would use this optic as a range toy, for training, or for airsoft use, but I would rather save my money for a better optic.

Good budget optic.
For full disclosure, I received a total of six (6) products from this manufacturer for evaluation. I will be detailing not only the individual product listed but my experience with their line of products. There’s nothing wrong with a budget optic as long as it delivers where it counts. This was mounted to a P80 RMR cut slide on an aftermarket Glock 19 frame. Due to the lugs on the P80 slide, it did require the use of a mounting plate. The optic was initially set using a boresight with final adjustments done on the range. To note the actual “dot” had a deformity appearing as a comma. This however was very minor and didn’t affect use of the optic. I lost count of the actual number of rounds (over 500 easily) but it had zero issues with the optic. Two of the products I received were mounted to rifles. Three others to pistol slides without the use of any adapters. The last one was never mounted as I currently lack a slide with the qualifying footprint. With the exception of the unmounted one, each has had a minimum of 200 rounds put through with the mounted optic. One pistol mounted optic has been carried daily for three months now. All have performed exceptionally and without issue. One product did have a slightly misshapen dot appearing almost as a comma instead of a dot however other then that it functions property.
