I presume the 2.25 inlet dia in the product discription refers to the inside diameter of the end of the pipe. What is the outside dia of the pipe end?

Correct! The inlet diameter is 2.25, as it is made to have a 2.25 outlet diameter stainless steel exhaust pipe slide right into it. The outside diameter is approximately 2.375, according to my dial caliper. Hope this helps!

What is the real inside diameter id, and od outter diameter. what gauge steel? is it full stainless steel tip to tip or just flex section?

I have a 04xg350 THE pipe on the car was slightly under 2 1\4 THE flex section fit perfectly

I need a flex pipe with 2" inner diameter inlet/outlet. Is 2.25" the inner or outer diameter of the inlet/outlet of this product?

2.25 is inner, you can go to the link of this part and see that they have others in 2 inch also, the lengths can be chosen also.

Will this work on a vw beetle

Depends on what size pipe you are wanting to attach it to?
