I bought one of these to replace the ageing and inefficient convection heaters in my apartment. I initially wanted to determine whether it fitted my circumstances and requirements, and I have to say, I'm impressed. The heat output is more than adequate and very controllable via the in built thermostat, and other functions such as timer and mode are also available. Mine is floor standing at the moment but I plan to mount it on the wall using the supplied brackets. I connected mine to Alexa via a smart socket and now it's voice activated from wherever I am. When I'm at work and ready to finish, I simply tell Alexa, via my phone to turn the "Heating On" and by the time I arrive home the apartment is toasty. I'm that impressed I bought two more. Highly recommended.

I read other reviews about this heater and was aware of the timer and controls being in an awkward place to read. However having bought some cheaper convector heaters and they dont seem to last I decided to give Dimplex a go. I am that pleased with it that I bought a second one. I actually think the digital thermostat is far more efficient and as there is an option to set the heater to Manual Mode I just turn the heater on as normal and havent had to change the thermostat temperature. If I do need to alter the temperature t is east to press the + or - button. Fingers crossed it will last a lot longer than the cheaper models and I have remembered to register product for a further 2 year warranty.

We purchased this to replace and much older model of the same make hoping it would fit the original mounting points on the wall. it did indeed fit perfectly well and it was super easy to wire up as you would expect. The only real downside is there's no physical button for off and on as such because the main control panel is digital. This means it's a bit of a fiddle to set things up first of all all because you have to set the time, the temperature threshold and the daily timings all via a tiny screen. It's probably worth what I'm doing this before you mounted on the wall so you can get a nice and close to the tiny display. The manual is quite detailed but that shows its a fair bit to do in order to set up and if like me you like to switch it off of the wall when you know you won't be using it for a while will it lose all the settings? Who knows it doesn't mention how long the memory will hold. There is also a physical button to turn on one or two elements so I'm presuming this overrides the digital auto section. More testing required since if I leave this on 0 will it mean that no heat happens during the auto switch on in the morning? When do you get the hang of it I think it will be ok and when set up up it should be fairly reliable. To switch it on manually if you want to boost you have to press the keys on the control panel but you must remember to set this back back to auto else you'll get no heat the next time the timer kicks in. One press to turn the heater off does not turn it back to auto mode. You need a further press to go back to 'auto' So a possible 'gotcha' there. I like the feature where you can set the temperature so that once it is reached it will switch the unit off saving energy we and preventing the room getting too hot. All in all they're paying a good brand and I recommend it.

Iv got a 4 by 4 mtr room that I'm in the most. So if we had a summer (2023!!!) i wouldn't need it. I set it at 22c and wait. Half a hr latter im cozy. Slight gripe. In winter i set it at 30c for a hr to get it from lets say 16c to 22c. It clicks in and out more or less silently (much better than a noisy fan heater) but because it swings from on to off, i find id prefer it to stay on permanently till i turn it down to 22c.
