Perfect for laser engraving
Bought these for a customer that wanted customized coasters. These engraved great on my 80w Omtech laser using 300/13.5 specs. Hardly any char and no odor during engrave. Customer loved them! I just ordered a couple more sets for another customer to personalize.

Light and absorbent
I already had some round stone type of coasters. I decided to try these due to getting 8 for about 1/3 of the price of the stone type.I noticed when they arrived that each coaster was pretty light. Of course, that concerned me as to how well the coasters would hold up and/or be absorbent. Fortunately, my worries were put to rest as we used them. One of the true tests for me is how I keep a large plastic tumbler nearly full of ice cubes with ice water filling the nooks and crannies between the cubes. I drink and chew ice as I work. These coasters performed better than my trusted stone coasters! The plastic tumblers can cause a lot of moisture to form on their sides and bottom before I use all the water and ice in it. The stone coasters have difficulty absorbing the moisture as quickly as the plastic tumblers can create it. These coasters stayed nearly caught up!I didn't give "easy to clean" a full 5-star rating yet gave it 4 stars. These are easy to clean to wipe down, dry off (after wiping down or from glass moisture), etc. However, if you do not notice a colored product (for example, Kool-Aid), getting on them, these will be considerably more difficult to clean than something more solid than cork. In most cases, you would be able to hand-wash or place into the dishwasher a stone (or occasionally wood) coaster.Other than the cleanliness factor if colorful beverages get on the coasters, I gave them 5 stars on all other points. They are absorbent, can't scratch wood, and are cheap. If you need to restock or get extra coasters, I would grab some of these.
