My door thickness was too shirt for screws provided so I just used ones I had. Routering out the wood to mount them wasn't too bad and once seated it hides any imperfections, so looks clean. My only suggestion is to include a cut out template to make the installation easier and include smaller screws in case you want to install it on both sides of the door.
