Q: can handlebars be adjusted

Handlebars cannot be adjusted. One 11 yr old I know is presently 5'8" tall and that doesn't seem to be an issue with him.

This is the most dangerous scooter I have ever purchased. I order from Amazon, I actually purchased 3 different ones. This one flipped my Granddaughter backwards onto the concrete, I thought it was just her. I love to ride these as well, so I rode a few laps was great, then all of a sudden I was in the concrete flat on my back!! It hurt terrible! I wanted a refund only for this one, no go! I would not even give this away it is so dangerous. Order the other styles, they are great & loads of safe fun!

the black things on the underside of the back are to keep the scooter from flipping over backwards - balances it with fast turns the "wings" in the back are what you stand on
