While this probably should have been included with the mower, it's just another example of companies looking for ways to ease the sticker shock of their products by trying to keep costs down. It's essential though, not unreasonably priced, and works perfectly.

Inexpensive way to make your tractor become an awesome Mulcher. Even when I let the lawn get too long on my EGO zero turn, it munches extremely well.

Was missing a couple pieces as the package broke open and spilled inside and got out a hole in the box. All other tools from Ego came with extra parts but this. Also, directions are incorrect and the supports should be attached to the bin first. Had a hard time getting the holes lined up. I used a couple grommets I had to replace missing ones. Otherwise this is a well made, sturdy, and very handy addition to my favorite lawn mower ever!

This product looks and feels sturdy, but I haven't used it enough to properly assess this. I did find the assembly to be difficult following the instructions as written. The holes for the "B" bolts passing through the box and tubes are very difficult to align to get a bolt through them if you follow the instructions. I suggest putting the box on the supporting frame arms, then loosely attach an elbow tube to the box and supporting frame arms with "B" bolts, then attach the other end of the elbow tube to the vertical tubes. Tighten all bolts after the end of loose assembly. This modified sequence changes assembly from very difficult to very easy. This box will prevent battery cover from fully opening but you will still be able to remove the batteries nearest the seat. The alternative is to lift out this accessory and set it aside to fully open the battery cover.
