Fantastic product! I'll buy again.
Heck Yeah! I apply with gloves most of the time, but it's not really necessary unless you don't wash your hands or touch your eyes or babies with unwashed hands. It REALLY BURNS, but that's EXACTLY what I was looking for! The burning is much better than the (otherwise) constant nerve pain.

Works better than expected
Have never used this kind of product, so didnโt know what to expect. It turned out well. Cool going on, absolutely no smell. Takes a while to feel heat, but thatโs what it is. Pretty warm at first, I was leery of sitting on an upholstered chair and wouldnโt try adding a heating pad or heated car seat. This passed to a comfortable warmth that has lasted at least 8 hours. My plan has been to apply at bedtime and in the am, but I think I will try earlier tonight assuming the effect has lessened. To be continued

A good nerve pain distractor. Don't get it in your eyes!
Came as described, as ordered. This worked great for a pain distraction (like Icy Hot does), except that it's from a natural plant. You get quite a bit of it with the order and for what it is, it is a great product. The consistency is that of a regular lotion (verses a Vaseline) so it is easy to rub into a given area. This is why I give it 5 stars. As for pain relief goes, I would give this more like 3 stars because as soon as the sensation from the product wears off, the discomfort returns. Wash your hands after use before touching sensitive areas such as your face or eyes, because this stuff can really make your eyes burn.

USE (IF YOU MUST) WITH CAUTION
I've used many different rub on pain relievers with only mediocre relief. I was hoping this would be better. It does an ok job of relieving pain but I had two problems with it. The instructions say that you may experience a slight burning sensation that may last several days. That's a very true statement. It doesn't say that washing your hands doesn't get the stuff off. It may take it off the surface of the skin but it still has the ability to burn your eyes and lips for a minimum of two days at least. I applied it to the backs of both of my hands using my fingertips, then washed my fingertips with soap and water. That was Tuesday evening. This is Thursday afternoon and, even after washing my hands a bunch of times, showering and shampooing, my skin on my fingertips still harbor the product enough to cause burning in my eyes and lips when I touch them. Also, the instructions do not say that wearing gloves the day after application (and after washing your hands several times) will increase the burning sensation 10 fold. I volunteer in a kitchen and must wash my hands frequently and wear the latex gloves. By the end of my 2 hour shift, the backs of my hands felt like they were on fire. I did not have a rash or redness, just a severe burning sensation. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

its like an aspirin
i didnt have any side effects, i tried it at home uncovered since it says to keep it out of sun & unbandaged (on my elbow/forearm). gets really toasty for about 45 mins, feels really relieving, but its also says you cant use it more than 4x a day, & the relief is temporary.

This stuff really works well!!!
I had low back surgery in 2016. The instant I woke up from the surgery, I had intense neuropathy pain in both legs and feet. Initially, it felt like someone was holding my feet too close to a live flame! The heat was intense! Of course there was no fire. But the sensation was there, nonetheless. We tried everything we could find to relieve the pain. Eventually, the 'hot' sensation dulled and became more tolerable. I had hopes it would subside altogether. But it just didn't. It is now 2026 and I have very little hope for it to ever go away completely. Now it is a matter of dealing with it every single day. My wife had Shingles in her face and the attack damaged the nerves in her face. We tried many doctors and many things to get that sensitivity and constant pain to go away and nothing seemed to help. My wife heard somewhere, online I think, people were using capsaicin cream to treat nerve damage and constant irritation and pain from it. So we bought some to give yet another substance a try. But this was different! Finally! Something that helped! She found the capsaicin cream dulled the pain so she could sleep at night. She started putting it on my lower legs and feet at night and I started getting full night's sleep! It was amazing and encouraging! Now, we buy this cream in the 3-pack and we use it! Constantly! And it really does help. If you have neuropathy somewhere in your body and you've tried everything you can think of but haven't had much success yet, give this cream a try. It is not as intense as something like Tiger Balm or BenGay. But it works and affects the damaged nerves in a way that seems to calm them down--at least temporarily. It sure did work for us!

Works but takes patience
I bought this after reading that capsaicin could help with chronic shoulder pain from an old rotator cuff issue. I'd been rotating through ibuprofen and ice packs for months and wanted something I could just apply and forget about. The first time I used it, I barely felt anything. Maybe a slight tingle after 10 minutes? I was pretty disappointed because I'd read reviews about people feeling intense burning. Used it again that night with a bit more product and still... not much. I almost wrote it off as too weak. But I kept using it twice a day for about four days, and that's when something shifted. The warmth became more noticeable, and more importantly, the dull ache in my shoulder actually backed off for a few hours at a time. I think it needs to build up or something? The tube says you might need repeated applications for full effect, which I guess is true, but I wasn't expecting it to take nearly a week to really kick in. Now that I'm two weeks in, it does provide decent relief. Not a miracle, but enough that I'm not reaching for pills as often. Fair warning: if you're expecting immediate heat like menthol creams, this isn't that. It's more subtle and takes commitment to see results. Also my hands stay a little tingly even after washing, so definitely scrub well.
