Gen 7 2019 X1 Carbon; best daily driver I’ve ever had
The media could not be loaded. This computer performances flawlessly for the level of utilization I can use it at. The weight savings over my ThinkPad P70, the business class ultrabook like battery life, and the sound quality over its previous generations makes this computer a great value for the money used and in great condition. Be sure to turn off fast startup and ‘hot charge port while powered off’ to save even more battery on shutdown.

Excellent Refurbished ThinkPad & Well Thought Out Device
This refurbished ThinkPad is in great shape and very clean. It was shipped overnight via FedEx and arrived promptly. This X1 Carbon has a soft finish and is very lightweight, making it easy to carry and use. The full HD screen presents sharp text and has a good levels of brightness. The laptop has a fan, and it runs, but it's not loud. During Windows updates, the chassis did get hot toward the top part of the device. I use Chromebooks a lot and one thing I like about them is because they do less, they don't get as hot or loud. I think any i5 or i7 windows laptop that's this lightweight and thin is going to have heat issues. The keyboard is classic ThinkPad, with good travel, and good-sized keys. The trackpad is small, there's no way around that, but it seems okay. There is a great selection of ports and the specs of my model (16gb, 256gb, i5) are more than ample for most users. The X1 Carbon's lightweight portability, epic keyboard and good screen, is a nice package. Reminds me a bit of the Pixelbook Go, but with a much better keyboard and clearer screen.Battery, I am simply not sure about yet. I tend to keep my laptops plugged in.

Brilliant
Absolutely amazing, condition was near perfect. A bargain if you ask me considering the specs and condition.

Lasted 7 months
Visibly used and possibly abused from day 1, overheated over very compute light workloads, turned off instead of going into standby, and had blue screens on a recurring basis. I’m writing with the past tense because a couple of days ago the keyboard decided in its entirety (and the trackpad in solidarity) to stop working and despite all BIOS resets etc I couldn’t get it to work again. For $300 I guess it’s fine. I honestly expected more from a Lenovo X1 Carbon though.

“Renewed” isn’t what you truly think it means.
Renewed apparently means really used, from my experience at least. Here are the pictures fresh out of the box.I was gonna leave a 2/5 star rating but the System and design are amazing.Don’t get me wrong. The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon is a beautiful system and a very well designed laptop.I got the Thinkpad x1 carbon because I’m going back to college and I needed a new school laptop and didn’t want to get one of the lowest grade laptops that are way overpriced that you can buy from the school. The screen is very clean and clear. Sound quality is pretty good. With an i5-8350u Quad core and 16 gb of ram, you can do schoolwork, run programs, and be able to listen to music with ease. Again the system is phenomenally designed at such an affordable cost. The keyboard is smooth, soft, and is very nice to type with. It’s lightweight and durable! OH! Did you know it also has fingerprint and facial scanner! They both work flawlessly. Now let’s unfortunately get back to the cons:First thing I noticed pulling it out of the box are a good amount of damages. I could be mistaken or misunderstanding but to my knowledge “Renewed” is like refurbished but better and slightly used but like new.Unfortunately for me, that is not the case. There is a very good amount of ware and tear on the casing itself. For example, a couple of the corners are scuffed up as seen in the photos. A permanent apple imprint on the center of the top panel (looks like it was a sticker at one point I tried cleaning it and it just wouldn’t come off as seen in the photo) as well with a good amount of wear on the top panel. The ports look like they have been through the ringer a few to many times. One of the USB ports almost looks fried. Now let’s continue to when I open the laptop. The screen has streaks on it, as if it was cleaned with the not correct chemicals.Keyboard, for the most part was actually really good, just a couple scratches here and there. The touchpad on the other had, not so much. A few scratches and lil bumps on the touchpad it self. The logos and the figure print scanner are pretty clean no complaints there. If you’re gonna put a tag with the laptop that says “ Hi there! I’m your new, like-new amazon renewed device” at least send a device that kinda looks like new. If I want to buy a straight “used” device I would’ve gotten it from that section on Amazon. Needless to say, I’m just really disappointed with the named “Renewed” device that I received.Unfortunately, I’m starting school soon and the system works great for what I’m going to school for at least. So I’m just gonna use it :)I’m genuinely happy with the Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 6! I just feel like it was labeled wrong when it was sold to me. Anyways, I hope this review helps you on your journey to find a really good laptop for an affordable price for work and school needs and I hope you all have a wonderful and safe day :)

Good experience over all
Here’s how things went down:1. Order was shipped quickly and arrived well packaged2. Computer looked and felt brand new when I turned it on3. Windows gave an error message that said the activation key was expired or incorrect while configuring everything4. I contacted Amazon & got great customer support for what the CSR could do. They contacted the company that sent the order and said to get back in touch if I didn’t hear anything within 48 hours5. The company contacted me within a few hours, which I appreciated! They were very helpful but ultimately were unable to resolve the issue. They said that what happened was something they’d never had happen before. I was instructed to return the computer for a refund, and a UPS return label was sent to my Amazon portal.6. My refund was processed quickly once received and all in all it was a good experience, other than the obvious fact that I still need a computer lol
