Designed in collaboration with pro skater Dennis busenitz, this is a signature drop from adidas skateboarding. Inspired by legendary Soccer cleats, these men's shoes are made with premium suede on a foam-lined rubber cup sole, with a supportive collar shaped for a precise fit.

Almost the best skate shoes. Almost.
I want to love these shoes, I really do. The suede is some of the toughest that I've ever skated, and overall the shoes are built like tanks. There is protection where you need it, and even the long tongue can provide ankle protection on those errant heelflips that creep a little too high on the foot. But then there are the problems.First off, I knew this shoe would be a bear when I first put it on. Immediately my arches began to throb and get hot. I have relatively sensitive arches and plantar fascia, and high arched shoes really irritate my feet. The sole has a rise in the heel of the sole which dug right into the fascia near my heels, and the upper material actually provided a ton of arch support that did more constricting of my arches than supporting them. No problem, I'll give it the old "heat it up with a hair dryer and walk around the block" treatment until the shoes break in. 5 heating and walking sessions later the shoes have relaxed enough to wear for a few hours without pain. Ok, problem solved right? [*Camera zooms in on Donald Trump's lips*] Wrong. I had to end up skating my old Vans with the fat Ultracush HD insole in order to warm up my feet to be able to skate in the Busenitz otherwise my feet would be in crippling pain. After warming up, though, they were skatable, but that's not where the problems ended. The best feature of these shoes is the padding. Heel, ankle, top of the foot. Bases are all covered and quite well at that. Unfortunately, the padding is really thick and also never really "broke in". No matter how hard I cranked on the laces, I could never get my feet seated in the shoes. This did save me from a couple of potentially rolled ankles by letting my foot stay stationary while the shoe rolled over, but overall caused more instability and detracted from my confidence. One of those cases of "more is not better".Panel and stitching placement. Somebody please inform Adidas of this critical design element. The single piece toebox is great, but right in the ollie area is the end of the vamp and a crucial stitch. I annihilated this stitch within a few ollies and the suede immediately began "peeling" away. This uncovered another problem that I have with Adidas in general - the panels hardly overlap. Because of this the toebox peeled away from the underlying suede and I could stick my finger between the panels and touch my sock. All I can say is thank heavens for superglue. In the same vein as panel placement, is the total lack of rubber in the toe area. When the first kickflip is hitting suede, that's bad design. Luckily, the suede is tough as nails and lasted a good while before actually tearing horizontally, oddly.A quick aside about the sole, since I'm talking about it, it was pretty durable and the tread did outlast the toe. It wasn't grippier or slippier than any other cupsole sole though, so no points added or subtracted there. That being said, cupsole shoes are some of the slipperiest around, and I got a few unintentional laughs from the skatepark peanut gallery when I tried to run up a ramp the first time. If you've seen the video of the cat trying to run up the slide, then you can imagine what that must have looked like. And if you haven't seen that video, then, dear reader, can you truly say that you have lived? Now if you've made it this far (and thanks if you have :D ) it might sound like I really hate these shoes. That's the weird thing. Even though they brutalized my arches when my feet weren't slipping around in them, they were some of my favorite shoes to actually SKATE. A case of Stockholm Syndrome? Perhaps. Most shoes bag out after a few sessions of hard skating and sweat soaking. These? No way. Not even a little bit. Once they were broken in, that's how they stayed. The flick was the same on the first session as it was on the last. Anyone who has struggled to get their flip tricks on lock will know that a flick that gets worse each time you flip your board is almost worse than war itself. But war is pretty bad, so, I guess it's worse. What was I saying? Oh, right, because of the consistent flick and consistent performance overall, I learned a bunch of new tricks and got the confidence to start hitting rails and ledges. Also, thanks to extra thickness in the heel, hard landings were nothing to worry about, and primo landings were a mild inconvenience. So if you like Adidas shoes, then buy these, because they are made by Adidas. The shoe company. Also they are great skateboard extreme sports shoes. Mountain Dew.Thank you.

My favorite Adidas shoe of all time.
Previously, my favorite Adidas shoe was the Samba Millenium. I've worn some version of the Samba for many years. The Busenitz is the most comfortable of them all. There is additional padding in the tongue and a reinforced heel. These are perfect for soccer and skating. Fits like a well broken in glove right out of the box!

My favorite everyday shoe! 2 solid years of wear.
I reserved this review for several months after putting them on for the first time. I wear these shoes every day. I skateboard in them every day, even when it rains. I skateboard on the streets and I skateboard in the house. I cut the grass in them and I wear them to work. I also never tie them (after the first tie). I slip them on but I still wear them tight. Despite all of the pushing my foot into them the heel has yet to yield or show any signs of collapse. I’ve been through a dozen other shoe brands and not once ever have I had one that survived as long as these have. Despite all of the abuse they still have no holes and no meaningful wear to the tread. Regardless, I just ordered a second pair to have on standby because I’m going to destroy them eventually! 10 out of 10, best skate shoe ever. :)2022 update: finally had to switch to my backup pair because I wore a hole the tread at the ball of the foot. I got 2 solid years out of these those. Unreal. I now also have a backup-backup pair. 😅

Most comfortable shoes Ever!
Second pair of Buzeys that are The Most Comfortable shoes I've Ever worn. I finally wore a hole in the soul of the 1st pair after stepping on a roofing nail 7 months ago which tore a wee hole that eventually turned into a quarter sized hole. I still wear the 1st pair occasionally if theres no rain in the forecast. They're that comfortable.New pair came in a tad tight and I'm sure my feet haven't grown. I have narrow feet and wear an 8.5D mens and I also have a shoe stretcher which I had to utilize with this pairs toe boxes so after stretching and a week of wear these Buzeys fit better than a glove and step with swag! I haven't slipped on my Vans or anything else from jump and I don't skimp on shoes. 1st pair cost $122 and I would happily pay that again if need be. Get 'em!

They’re perfect but smaller than expected
Mine came with the right shoe insole a little messed up and folded but it’s perfectly fine. Nothing too big of a deal. They fit smaller than regular shoe size; so I would say size up half a size or a full size if worried. But they’re amazing!!
