(if adding oxygen absorbers)** A: It's a misconception that a "vacuum-packed" look means the oxygen was removed. Oxygen absorbers do NOT absorb air; they absorb oxygen, which is just 21% of air. That means that roughly 1/5 of the volume will be gone but 4/5 remains and is harmless. **Q: Which food items should NOT be stored with oxygen absorber packets?** A: Sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder should NOT be stored with oxygen absorbers. They will last for decades when properly stored in Mylar and do not require absorbers. **Q: Where should I store my sealed Wallaby Mylar bags?** A: To ensure longevity of your emergency food supply, we recommend storing your sealed pouches in a cool place away from rodents, who can chew through Mylar, no matter how thick. Placing them in a bin or container with a strong lid is ideal. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are the ones!! *by on Reviewed in the United States 4 February 2026* These are my all time favorite smaller mylar bags. I have reordered many many times. They are my go to for this size bag. I would highly recommend them to anyone freeze drying. You will not be disappointed. Sturdy, when opened they stand on their own for easy filling, great size for things that you want a smaller bag of, and the bags have never failed us. They remain doing the job for a very long time. These are the ones. Buy them! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant storage *by on Reviewed in Australia 5 April 2026* I bought these after wasting 25kg bag of flour and a 20 kg of self raising flour. I had frozen it to kill bugs and stored it but after 2years it was off; you could smell it. So after doing some research this was the best way to store flour to Lengthen its shelf life. I also bought the relevant oxygen absorbers and hey Bristo I was in business. The bags are a great size you fit about 2-3 kg in them and they are of a good thickness. Really happy will be very happy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality bags! *by on Reviewed in Canada 1 August 2026* Haven't used these yet but they seem the perfect size for a two person MRE and are thick, quality bags. Backpacking food never tasted so good until we started making our own and dehydrating and these bags will be perfect for longer storage and maintaining freshness. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/470860118-wallaby-50x-1-quart-gusset-mylar-bag-bundle-6-mil](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/470860118-wallaby-50x-1-quart-gusset-mylar-bag-bundle-6-mil) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
