No more USB cord clutter!
This a great docking monitor for plugging my mouse, webcam, scanner/printer into a single plug to connect to the thunderbolt port on both my work and personal laptops. I'm not a gamer or listen to music but the picture resolution is good enough for me to use for both my work and personal laptop without clutter. The only issue that I have is that the integrated webcam is not great (thankfully I already an external webcam which I attached to the top of the monitor but this takes up on of the available USB ports) and there are no speakers so if you buy the HP speaker bar add-on then you need to use one of the USB ports. For the price point, the webcam could have been better and an integrated speaker should have been added. Otherwise this a good purchase, especially with working from home going on longer than originally expected.

Do Not Buy
This is probably the worst tech purchase. From day 1 the monitor hasn’t worked unless the power cord was “just right” and I have to continually toggle and play with the power cord to get power. Additionally the speakers and mic are horrible - the mic has never worked and the speakers only work if I have earbuds plugged in. Do not buy.

Great for home office
Excellent product, love the embedded docking station and the integrated camera and microphone.

Download the firmware update
I purchased this monitor for the specific purpose of having a docking station that would work switching between two laptops + a central camera so I'm not always getting sideshots of my face from my laptop cameras. At first, when I tried to set up everything, I thought I had misunderstood the functionality of the monitor. HOWEVER, once I updated the firmware (via HP website), viola! dual computer support (also called KVM mode). So far so good. The monitor itself is ok and the camera is mediocre. It could be a faster menu selection process to switch between inputs...however, I'm willing to give up a lot for a more streamlined desk setup. I went from getting ready to pack it all back up to fairly satisfied.

Perfect Monitor for My Docked Thinkpad P52
I run both Windows 10 and Mac OS in my home office. The latter is my primary OS and runs on a new 27" iMac, while the former was run on an older desktop PC which recently bit the dust. I replaced the Windows PC with a 15" Lenovo Xeon P52 laptop but wanted more real estate and perhaps dual screens as well. However, I didn't want another massive display taking up even more desk space. This 23.8" HP E24d G4 monitor fit the bill exactly. It is designed as a docking monitor, so not surprisingly, setting it up with my Lenovo laptop via a Lenovo docking station was simple and effective. My Thinkpad has a 4K display, and while this monitor is only 1920 x 1080, the increased size compared to the high-res Thinkpad makes it more than legible. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a compact, nice-looking, relatively sharp docking solution at a reasonable price.
