How fast it rotates does not really matter it's how many CFM it puts out. I assure you it works great for what I do there are some that are a little bit more expensive to have a little bit more power but it's about how much air do they blow not how fast the motor rotates. You can rotate the motor twice the speed but if it has a small fan on the inside generating the air flow it's really not going to be that much better.
