A Disaapointment
This book is a huge disappointment and misleading. It shows no real true traditional interior designs, until You get to a "Sense of Place". This section/chapter of the book saves its title. I thank the 2 authors for ending the book by saving its title so one does not feel completely deceived by the title. If I could not afford this book, I would RETURN it citing my reason as false and misleading content and misleading title advertisement. I do not recommend this book.

Another excellent book from the timeless design firm Cullman & Kravis
I have admired the Cullman & Kravis team for years, enjoying both of their previous books: Decorating Master Class, and The Detailed Interior. I had this book delivered the day it was released and I sat down to read it almost immediately. The pictures are beautiful, the text is well-written, and the smallest of details this firm is known for are all still very much there. I own many interior design books, and my favorite has always been their first, Decorating Master Class. I have sourced this book so many times over the years that the spine is coming apart. I have read it cover to cover at least five times, and I even keep a notes page to reference. If you don't have this one already, do yourself a favor and order it. Though this one was published in 2007, it is still very relevant over a decade later. I suppose this is a testament to how talented Ellie, Tracey, and rest of the Cullman & Kravis team is! What's more is that in this new book, Elissa shows us her home once again (many of the same rooms she had photographed for their first book), and much of the original design has stayed the same. A few colors and accessories may have changed, but what I appreciate most is that the core pieces and structure of the rooms have endured. To me, this is true sustainable design that transcends time, and I challenge myself to heed the advice these two are so generous to share. If you have an interest in interior design, I highly recommend a set of Cullman & Kravis books to add to your collection.

Nice
This is my third Cullman & Kravis book, and it is my least favorite. My favorite was the first one. It is a nice book, but I don't enjoy it as much...Could it be I am getting older?
