This crimping iron is great! It's easy to use and the plates are easy to change out. It heats up quickly and the temperature display is easy to read. The selection of teeth sizes is perfect. (I purchased the larger, purple plates with 3 teeth separately.) I did a lot of research before ordering a crimping iron and I'm very happy with this one. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a swivel cord, but I preferred the features of this one to any crimping irons with swivel cords that I was able to find. If you need a crimping iron, this is an excellent choice!

Works great and is great for wig styling. It came with the box it was in looking a little scuffed but other than that it works great!

Works great for the price however the glove that it comes with doesn't protect from the heat whatsoever.

The crimper is fine, but my biggest issue with this is that they didn't put it in a box when they shipped it out. I've already opened and used it so I don't have a photo but they just slapped shipping labels on the actual product box and sent it on its way. If they were trying to reduce waste, I get it. But it's an electrical appliance at the end of the day. What if it got damaged, or someone saw what I ordered and stole it from my doorstep? Luckily neither of those things happened, but not everyone might be so lucky 🤷🏻

Easy to use for wigs!

We got this 2-plate crimper for 80s style costumes, and it’s quite fun! The crimps are slightly smaller than I remember in the 80s and early 90s, but still look great. I believe that the manufacturer also makes a set with 4 plate sets instead of 2, and one of those is even larger than the biggest one in this set if you really want large 80s hair. For this set, since the crimps are smaller, be careful not to brush it out, or it just turns into frizzy fluff. This can actually be handy if you’re using it as a volumizer in place of rat-tailing your hair.. The larger iron is definitely the one you want for more visible crimps, and the smaller one works best to add volume. The crimper has removable end caps, and then you just slide out and exchange the crimper plates. You have to press pretty hard to get the hair down into the zigzags, so an extra hand is helpful – this is where the heat resistant glove comes in handy. The glove really works – I was able to directly touch the hot crimper plate without my fingers getting too hot. The crimper has nice thumb/finger rests on the handle, and the temperature controls are on the inside so you can’t accidentally bump them during use. It does not have a lock feature so you can’t keep it closed when it’s not in use, but it does come with a handy velcro cord keeper.
