It SORT OF Works
I have this lovely little radio I use in bed during bouts of insomnia. I use one earbud and listen to the radio until I fall back to sleep. I should have bought the manufacturers AC power adapter, but I didn't. I used an "off the shelf" unit from a now defunct electronics store. That worked but introduced a lot of noise so I finally bought this one.The noise is gone but the only way it powers my radio is if I either force the plug to the side a little bit or wrap a rubber band around it and the radio to the same effect. It's not that the plug is loose in the radio, it just doesn't work.I curse it every time the batteries die in the small hours.

This adapter was perfect for my Eton transister radio.

Connector weird, creates static, but works
The connector on this charger is undersized for the external hole. Maybe a bad ground connection (to the outside shield) then contributes to noise generated on the radio when charging? It seemed really bad on AM radio, especially when tuned to a weak station. Nearby strong stations seemed better, because the station signal was stronger.It probably could benefit from a toroid choke on the two wire line going to the radio (no shielding on this line).However, it does charge the internal battery pack. And it fits the center pin snugly, but not without some force to get the socket over the pin on the radio.

AC Adapter for ETON radio
I bought this AC adapter so I could charge the internal batteries of my ETON FR-300 radio...works great!PS - now háving used it for a while, I'd add that it creates so much static noise that I cannot listen to the radio while charging with the adapter. There is some sort of interference filter installed on the adapter wire, but that doesn't appear to work at all.And to echo another purchaser's comment, the male plug IS too small for the hole, but it does charge the radio.
