I am a heavy bread baker and I LOVE THESE for the various types of flours. We have an evaporative cooler and cannot store things like flour in simple canisters. These have a plastic seal that cuts down on the contents being exposed to ambient moisture in the air, AND still allow me easy access on the fly in the kitchen. They are thick, durable, attractive and easy to clean. I love the size!!! The will hold a full bag of flour when they are empty, if I remember correctly! I wish they were a better price, that's my only gripe. We use those "chalkboard" style labels on them you write on with a white pen OR we use a Brother label printer, both work great. The lids are dishwasher safe on the top rack in my experience and the bases can be done in the bottom rack.

Tight lids but fresh cookies
The cookie jars themselves are well made and keep items fresh. The lid fits tightly on the jar so no air enters at all. They are hard to get off when you want a cookie though. This is probably a good thing at our house. The labels are cheap and not very good. I would definitely use something else to label the jars or use nothing at all.

Works great for Canisters!
I needed to replace my old canister jars with new ones. These jars have great seals. I also ordered the 1/2 gallon size which are delayed in shipping for the rest of my canisters. You may need 2 hands to open the jars because the seal is so tight. I think it will loosen a bit in time of usage. Happy with them so far. Looking forward to getting the 2 1/2 gallon ones.

Great heavy duty jars!
Heavy, lid closes very tightly. I’m very pleased with these glass jars. Could be cheaper though.

Excellent quality, lid seals well.
These are excellent jars. I didn't realize when I purchased them that they have a plastic/silicone gasket around the lid that makes for a very snug fit, which I really like. I have purchased the to replace one I had that broke, but the lid on the broken one simply sat on top of the jar. These are very sturdy and should last a very long time (if I don't manage to break them).
