My RV's refrigerator was freezing everything. The freezer worked fine, so my local RV service center mansplained over the phone about how I must have set the refrigerator too cold. At the center itself, they were stumped because, "most people have the problem where the refrigerator doesn't get cold." Youtube search on my part suggested this might be the problem. Lo and behold, I switched the thermistor and scrubbed the rust off the metal clip and now everything works fine. I couldn't be happier.

This small part saved me from having to replace my fridge in my RV.

Product arrived as promised. It took me longer to walk to my camper in the yard than it did to install this part! Also saved me a ton of money from not having to haul my unit 4+ hours to the dealership to have a warranty repair done for something so simple. I saw some other reviews about moving the thermistor to a different fin due to rust where the clamp attaches. Keep in mind that + or - 1 fin changes the interior temp of your unit. Check your owners manual for the exact scale of change, but it is on the 10th fin from the right for a reason. If you have rust buildup, use a fine grade Scotch Brite pad to remove the rust.

Perfect replacement for my bad thermistor. Norcold frig is at 33 degrees! Freezer is at -1. All on setting #3.Installer, make sure to be careful when removing connectors from light bulb plate! Tabs will break off. Consider how long it's been installed without disruption.Bracket that holds thermistor can be hard to remove also. Remove any rust from bracket and install on different rib. Original placement might have some rust present.

I got my order on Friday, but since I was already busy with other projects, I didn't replace my thermister cable until early Sunday afternoon. I let my fridge do its thing and on Monday afternoon after I got done with work, I came home to my fridge not freezing my drinks anymore. There was no more ice build up on the back metal fins. I am so happy that this was the only issue with my R.V. Norcold fridge. It was also very easy to install. I highly recommend this product.
