Latte Darling: Book Two of the Darling Series

I loved this book soo much daddy axel oh my 😍😍 was a little confused about the dean part because he never even tried to see if maddie would go out with him. Would defo recommend this book tho 10 outta 10

If you’ve followed me long enough and have been paying attention, you know I’m a huge Tilly fan. If you haven’t: Hi! I’m Maria, and S.J. Tilly is one of my favorite romance authors. Her books are just so addicting, I breeze through them. This one though…this one was something extra special.I started reading Latte Darling immediately after having finished the first book in the Darling series, Smoky Darling. (You can, however, read them as standalones. You’ll obviously know how book 1 ends since the protagonists of the two books are friends, but you don’t need book 1 to understand book 2. That being said, read them both because I said so.) Despite it being a Saturday and TV fam with the family, I spent most of the boring parts and all the commercial breaks reading this book. I regret nothing!The age gap romance in this one was immaculate. And it’s not a small gap—these two have a 21 year gap. Did it ever feel weird or fetishized? Nope. Not once. It’s a passionate story of two people who fall hard for one another, and where the age difference is hardly the issue. It’s the fact that Maddie was supposed to meet Axel’s son on a date (not a spoiler, it’s in the description), so it might be weird. It’s Maddie’s insecurities that sometimes rear their head. So many little things.I highly recommend this to romance readers who love smut, a curvy protagonist, a hot as sin male protagonist, glorious dirty talk and to people looking for good age-gap romances!

POV: DualSpice: 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶THIS BOOK!! It’s somehow extra spicy but at the same time super sweet, which actually describes our MMC, Axel, as well! S.J. never fails to write the perfect mix of possessive and caring alphas and in this case he also happens to be a bit of a silver haired fox.Axel and Maddie have such a funny meet cute and as soon as I realized what was happening I was internally screaming in excitement that this was how things were going to start for them! Their chemistry was instant and there is no slow burn here! I will say, the thing that Maddie and Axel are into with each other is not really my cup of tea, but it wasn’t overdone and I still enjoyed their story. Maddie is such a sweetheart who is curvy and maybe lacking some self esteem and it took me a bit to just be okay with the fact that she wasn’t going to yell at anyone and tell them off, but that is exactly why someone Axel is the perfect match for her!This is a complete standalone but does feature a bit of the couple from Smoky Darling (Maddie’s best friend Eloise) and I loved seeing more of them. It was a mostly light read with some laughs and although I didn’t want it to end I am looking forward to whatever is next in this small town!

Did I stay up until 310 in the morning to finish... why yes yes I did! Loved this book so much!! If u haven't met Daddy Axel u are MISSING out!!! He is everything!!! And that twist at the end of chapter 2 I believe it is holy hell didn't see that coming! 5 stars all the way around if I could reread for the first time I would! I'm sorry Beckett Axel def won fav book boyfriend 😅😅 SJ u did so wonderful on this story I fell in love on chapter 2!!! I can't wait to see how u did Nero!! It's going to be so amazing! Keep writing! Keep doin u!! Keep shining love!! Ur amazing!

Loved this book, another first read for me. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author. Daddy Axel was fantastic!!
