Bought the rods to repair an aluminum gas tank the product doesn’t work the tank melts before the rod tank is 1/16” thick I have pits les than 1/32” underneath the tank I clean the material the rods don’t melt in contact with the aluminum I heated the aluminum until it warp and the deformed the rod did not melt in contact with it it only melted while under the flame of the torch but it made bids and chunks in the end I didn’t get a well enough brazing do not buy the product

works great, used mapp touch, would be better if the rods werelonger

I've tried to use this item to Weld Over some small Holes But it Doesn't Seem To Work as far as I can see but I'll keep trying to make these Low Temperature Welding Rods Work for me.

Crest value to the price. Was skeptical initially due to negative reviews, but with a ts8000 and a bit of care not to melt the material, they worked. Note: I couldn’t get them to flow by just applying to the hot base metal. Had to dab the rods under the torch as well. But then it wicked right between the two sheets of 20 gauge Al.

Didn’t function well, but may have been operator partially to blame

These cored rods are the best ive used. If u get your aluminum to the right temp just before the metal distorts these make very strong welds. Also post grinding no discoloration. Have yet to find a comparable rod. I just wish there was a larger pack.

These rods are not low temp, I cannot get these darn things to melt even at 1000F! The listing is not accurate at all. Have to return!
