Imaginext DC Super Friends RC Transforming Batbot 2-Ft-Tall Robot with Lights & Sounds and Remote Control for Pretend Play Kids Ages 3+ Years

I bought this as a graduation gift for my five year-old grandson. Just say he was ecstatic and out of this world with excitement to say the least! The toy does what it says it does, lots of lights sounds fun and it goes from a sitting position to a standing position. I’m so happy that he’s so happy!

Even after the hunt of finding the Batbot for the 2014 Christmas season at a price cheaper than a car payment, this toy is worth it. Amazon sent it with great packaging and it arrived in three days. My boys (5, 4, and 3) all love it, as did their two year old girl cousin. The batman figure that came with the batbot looks like classic batman. The remote allows you to turn, move, and transform. The batbot can only turn one direction, but my boys haven't complained one bit. 5 days later and they're still playing with it as I type. Everyone that comes over has to have a go playing with the batbot. It's well made and even when they drive it under a chair and it knocks forward, it lands on a wheel on the side and still drives around tipped forward. If left alone for a few minutes, Batbot will say "power down" or "deactivated" and go into a resting state until the batman figure stand is turned on the top to deactivate it. The lights are cool and it has a wide variety of sounds and sayings that give my boy ideas for make believe scenarios. Works great with all of the rest of the Imaginext toys. My only complaint is that sometimes when we load all of the disks into the compartment to shoot, one of them will get stuck. We have to flip it open, take the other disks out, and then force it back into place with our finger. I thought this might frustrate them during play, but no one's complained and they can troubleshoot the problem themselves.

Its an awesome toy, makes my son so happy have had since Christmas morning and it has been the hot toy in our house everyone wants to play with it. I bought batteries expecting none can,e with it but the not itself did and I only needed AAA. Makes many sounds, drives good on hardwood & slow to not moving on carpet. Remote works good you can be pretty far and still be able to power the bot to save any town even in the other room. I over paid because it was sold out every where so I was charged 3 times the original price, so if you want this toy the I would say get it when you see it at or lower than original price don't say I'll get it next time because it may be sold out before you know. To us its still worth what we paid just we will never get close to that value for resell. But the smile on my sons face because he got what he asked for makes the difference.

One MAJOR problem if you are planning on getting more than one to use in the same area or room...READ THIS!! I have purchased a total of 4 of these. The grandkids love it. Battery life is great...I have only replaced them once as they have "auto shut off". Just an FYI if getting more than one. Major FRUSTRATION for kids if you get more than one in the same household. They only have one frequency... SO, playing with one will activate the other ones nearby. Very frustrating!!! I originally posted that I had to switch Batbots with ones from Amazon and ones from TRU. It seemed to work... but after a few minutes, I could see that all are on the same frequency and all would work with any remote. I contacted Mattel and got this reply. "I apologize your children are frustrated because the Batbot has only one frequency and multiple ones can not be used together, in the same room. Regrettably, there is only frequency available for this product. I'm sorry I don't have better news today. If you would like to return three of the Batbots for vouchers, please email us the manufacturing/date code for each one (four numbers followed by one or two letters, not the 1186 mj nl) molded into the plastic on the back of his right leg (not the gray part) and we can email a return label for each one. My husband even wants one and he's almost 60!

My son really loves this toy, and I have had great experiences with imaginext products in the past. He was desperate for this for Christmas. It looks good, works as described, and the transforming is cool. But it does feel overpriced, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. $70 is high for this toy. It's basically a remote control car that can lift up. It has lights and voice recordings. If it was more in the $50 range, I would say it was well worth it. The remote is easy for younger kids to use, but kids get bored faster with this than with other Imaginext products (I will swear the eagle talon castle is the greatest toy ever, my son has played with it for 3 years, and my little brother was the same about his version of it in the mid-90s). All in all, if your kid wants this, they're probably driving you nuts about it. It's definitely much better priced than most "must-have" toys. It's durable, it's interesting, I am doubtful you'd regret the purchase.

Imaginext toys are just great. we own a lot of them and they have all held up wonderfully and my kids actually play with them! This Batbot was no exception. It is a very cool toy. My preschooler can do it but it keeps my 9 year old entertained as well. It is hardy and can stand little kid toy abuse well. We have had it for almost 2 years now and it works as perfectly as it did the day we got it. I like how the remote hooks onto the back, so it doesn't get lost when the toy is put away. The only con that I can see is that it is a "manual fire" for the disk shooter. My son would have loved if there was a button on the remote to shoot the disks out instead of doing it by hand.

Why did you have to be placed at my 4 year olds eye level at the local Toys***? We went there for him to choose his birthday present; he stopped dead in his tracks for this toy. We offered him a new bike, RC boat, swimming pool -- NOPE he kept coming back to this batman toy. Well we left and hoped he would forget about the toy, but no, he talked about it for the next few days leading up to his birthday. Well Amazon thankfully was cheaper than the local store and it was shipped in plenty of time for my son's birthday. Needless to say, I know much more about how to operate batman equipment than I should. It is a fun toy and built like a tank.
