Direct line of sight I'd imagine at least half a km. At the listed 20dbm, should be plenty of room for directional antennas too. To use with Mission Planner and Windows 10, you need to download the silabs cp210x universal windows driver. Once that's installed, Mission Planner recognizes it just fine, and it connects without issue.
