OMWay STEM 12-in-1 Solar Robot Toys, Science Kits for Kids Age 8, Building Experiment Engineering Robotics for 9 10 11 12 13 14 Year Old Boys Girls Teens

This is a really nice STEM kit for kids who enjoy building things. I like that you can create different robot designs rather than building it once and forgetting about it. The solar-powered aspect also makes it more interesting and gives kids a simple way to learn about engineering and renewable energy while having fun.

My child really enjoyed building this solar robot. The instructions were easy to follow, with some help from parents and it was fun to see the robot move. A great STEM toy for kids who enjoy building and experimenting. Good value for money for parents and kids to do it together as bonding.

I purchased 12 in 1 Solar robot toy as a gift and child totally loved it. It's hood value for the money and provides hours of creative play, teaches scientific principles and leaves kids with a sense of pride once their robot comes to life.

This was a Christmas present for my 10 year old daughter. The instructions are certainly challenging and most definitely need adult assistance, but manageable with some patience. However, as others have reported, we have a gearbox with incorrectly sized gears. I have taken the gearbox apart multiple times and I am certain we have not made any build errors. The green and white gears are just not the right size to mesh with each other, and so the wheels do not turn. I can't find any way to contact the seller to request a replacement part, so the robot is useless!

I purchased two of these for my nephews, and they absolutely loved them! The kits kept them quite busy building the machines, which was great for sparking their creativity and keeping them entertained. However, the motor wiring is quite flimsy—one wire actually snapped, and they couldn’t get it to work afterward.also solar is very poor. Overall, it’s not a bad toy for kids who enjoy building and experimenting, but the quality of some components could be improved. Despite the wiring issue, my nephews had a lot of fun, and it’s a decent choice for introducing children to basic mechanics and DIY projects.

EDIT: seller sent out a newer model with correct white gear and I can confirm the robot now functions as it should and is a great product for kids to enjoy and experiment with different movements of robots. —————— DO NOT BUY! As mentioned in many reviews already, the white gear isn’t large enough to reach the smaller adjoining cog on the green gear part, therefore can’t connect and the wheels of the robot will never turn. This isn’t user error this is a manufacturing fault and the product shouldn’t be sold. I can only think that other positive reviewers haven’t paid attention to the wheels not spinning and have just let their kids build it and thought the final build looked good. Either this or they received functioning gear boxes. I’ve added an image to show the fault. I’m out of warranty now as it was bought for a Christmas so just wasted money.

The OMWay STEM 12 in 1 solar robot toy is a fantastic educational toy that has kept my daughter entertained while helping her learn about engineering and renewable energy. It is easy to build , with 12 different robot designs to create providing hours of fun and creativity. The solar powered feature is a great way to introduce children to green energy concepts. The parts are well made and instructions are clear, making it an enjoyable project for both children and parents. Highly recommend

My little one always like practical activities so I got set of this for her, and it didn't disappoint me, she learned how to use the wire cutter, organised the small bits into different bags... We definitely have some good time together for figuring out how to build a robot, I will say it's more of two people's work, the child will need some support and lots of patience. Good for home education.

We bought this for our grandson. It suggests for child of 8 years old. But this item is much to difficult for a child even after 10. It soon becomes en item for grandpa, and he found out the wheels which are built the essential motor were to small, they can not fit to each other so that they can't work together to carry out the basic function. It is a useless item and we are very disappointed.

JUNK DOES NOT WORK DESIGN FLAW NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK
