It was unusable. The price was right but the quality considering its use, was not.. The issue is the suction cups do center on a standard 4 inch tile square. Good idea, bad engineering. Review: ALWAYS check before use!! - My dad is 74 and weighs 320 and uses them to steady himself getting in and out of the shower and to help him get up from a shower stool. These are very easy to install and, when the suction is activated, they are very stable and do not budge. NOTE we do have to readjust them in between showers (the one that we have placed in the direct path of the water which is probably why). But even so, ALWAYS ALWAYS check first that the suction is okay before using them. So long as you are aware of this, you will have no problem. Others have also mentioned this so we knew to keep an eye on it and have had no issues. I do not know if they will work on glass shower walls. **Q: Where are directions for installation ? There is absolutely no suction in either of these !!!! Should be open tab locks, clean surface, apply & lock** A: yes open tab locks apply to wall then closed locks we have no trouble with ours have a blessed Christmas **Q: Will this suck to a wall next to a potty or just a bath** A: If the wall is tile or glass it will stick. The surface must be very smooth **Q: Can these be used on plastic insert tubs?** A: I don't know whether they can be used on any surface. I ordered them for assistance in entering and exiting tub/shower, they would hold for 5-10 minutes, then fall off.
