yep, it’s worms
hey everyone !i gave this two stars because there was a significant downside, but it wasn’t all bad for me.good news first: the balls arrived a healthy green color with the cutest little note attached. they adapted well to the environment.bad news: READ THE REVIEWS. I SKIMMED THEM AND TOTALLY MISSED THIS. i did in fact get worms (planaria flatworms) from the balls. i only have throroughly cleaned rocks + gravel, a hob, and a heater. i have no other plants. these worms hitchhiked !!i guess i have to throw these guys away or maybe toss them in a bowl on their own and see how they do :^T but i will definitely be double checking every comment before purchasing again !!note: i could not get a picture of the worms. they are so small !! they’re white and hair-thin, about a third of an inch maybe ? they wiggle around which is super grossEDIT: turns out they’re detritus worms, which just means i need to oxygenate my tank more. i still don’t have a fish or any food matter. they STILL hithiked on these moss balls, so be warned of that

FAKE. FELT Balls! See photos comparing to real moss balls.
Unbelievable. I purchased 2 sets from the same seller, "LUFFY PETS COLLECTION." The 5 jumbo moss balls were REAL. But these were fake as... seriously fake. I have an elderly Fantail. She's 10 yrs old. And I love her to pieces. Now that she's in elder status, she doesn't have the energy to swim. I bought moss balls to give her something to nibble on that's within easy reach. Of course, she wouldn't touch these. Why? Because they are made of FELT. The other 5 moss balls I bought were real, but these weren't. I've attached pictures for you to see the difference. The ones inside the tank are legitimate moss. The ones outside the tank are bright green and have been sitting on the counter, completely dried out for over a week... they look pretty good for dead plants, don't they? Despicable seller. So glad it didn't harm my sweet girl.

I had my doubts but they came in fluffy and large
I put these in my 3 gallon Betta tank. He's the only thing in the tank besides some plastic plants and I wanted to give him something more excited. Our tank does have a heater and I believe that the right temperature is important for these to thrive. They arrived moist and large and have fluffed up even more since soaking them in the tank. My Betta seems to enjoy having something live and natural and he's been very interested in them.

Love these!
I was worried about the condition they would arrive in, but they were perfectly happy and even had a little baby ball that snuck in on the side of a larger one. I’ve had them for 6 months or so in my fish tank and they have all grown in size with the littles being about a half inch now and the others more like two inches or so. I also noticed last week another new baby in the tank - it’s a little tiny fluff of moss but I’m excited to see what it does. I neglect them for the most part, but they do get cleaned and moved around by the aquarium snails every so often. Much nicer than fake plants that grow algae all over them and much easier than other aquatic plants.

Not like they tell you.
I ordered the large Luffy balls and I did put a whole one in my 20 tower tank and that one is fine. The directions said i could tear of pieces roll them into balls and make more balls because they will grow also. They not only did not grow, they shed when I did that. Through thew tank and filter. I literally had to fish the moss out. Maybe if i would have left them all whole they would have been okay, I don't know. my tower is with GloFish and they do not go to the bottom so it is just left alone to grow.

Just as described - These are great!
These arrived and I didn't have any of the problems that I read in the reviews. The package was in good shape and the marimo were dry and very healthy dark green. I put them into a container with water and got them hydrated and before long they were looking great. I kept them out of my tank for a week just to make sure I didn't contaminate my tank, and I didn't see any problems with the marimo so I added them into the tank.My Parrot Cichlid loves pushing these things around! I also have a plecostomus and it's not bothering or eating them. it's great - I love watching the marimo free floating and I've had them in my tank for about a month now and they look great.I would totally suggest these for anyone that wants low maintenance live plants in their tank.

Save your money..arrived brown.
Arrived brown, followed the directions exactly. Two weeks later...still brown. I've put in for a refund..guess I'm sending back brown, dead squishy wet messy balls!Edit: okay the new ones arrived, nice and green..we will see. Packed up the old nasty slime balls and I'm sending them back. Yes, you read that right..Amazon wants their balls back. 😬

Arrived dry and yellow
I had previously ordered some moss balls on Amazon and had them for a couple years. They started falling apart to the point where I had to tie them with fishing string to keep them together. Still, pieces would straggle out and I ended up discarding the loose pieces. The remainder of the moss ball is still green and going strong, but much smaller. That is why I decided to buy more. When the new pair arrived, they were bone dry and yellow. I figured they would come back to life once I added them into the aquarium. It's been a few days and they are even more yellow than before. Very disappointed in receiving these poor, dry moss balls.**Update**I requested a replacement and the new moss balls have arrived. They look much greener, but still pretty dry.I've had them in my tank for a couple weeks now and they are just as bad as the first pair I ordered. I have a planted tank, and all of my plants are thriving, except for these moss balls. Very disappointed in these.

Would recommend
I bought four of these little balls, they were delivered quickly and well packaged. Each ball measures approx 1.1/5 inches diameter and looked very healthy. I’m not sure if it’s coincidental but I had a problem with bearded algae which I had been treating with moderate success before adding these, but still had some growing on my wood and plants. However with a combination of a couple of plecs and these little ‘miracles’ the algae is all but gone. They look good too !!

Brillant buy
Forgot to write this earlier.I've had the balls now for close to a year. They arrived in good condition and fast. I keep them in a jar for decoration. A low maintenance pet. Only change the water with cold tap water every couple of weeks. One smaller than the other.Great purchase, would buy again.

I am very happy with this purchase
I am very happy with this purchase. The 2 moss balls arrived quickly and they were very healty. One was bigger than the other. After more than one month, they are doing well and they have a bright green colour. I reccommend this product and I will buy again from this seller

Looks nice in tank
I’ve had these about 6 months now and they’ve grown a bit. One was smaller than the other, and despite turning every week the large one seems to be losing the ball shape and going flat. Still alive though

Too tasty for my fish
Not the product for my tank unfortunately. Fish disintegrated them and ph balance affected. I keep fancy goldfish so other fish probably fine.
