How is the quality of the tactical vest?

Great!Unlike other cheap but poor quality ones.There are uniquely designed patterns and fine stitching that can be used multiple times. You will definitely be surprised.

Is this vest suitable for my 12 year old kid? He is about 5.2 feet tall.

It should be ok. I bought it for my 10 year old boy, he is 4.8 feet tall but he is skinny and a little loose for him. There are velcro straps on the side that can be adjusted for a tighter fit. I would say good. Plus plenty of growing room.
