haisstronica Crimping Tool for Spark Plug Wire, 8-8.5 mm, HS-2048

I just installed some new MSD 8.5 Super Conductor wires on my SBC, in my 55 Chevy. I'm a tool snob, and am picky about quality. I've done this job several times over the years, and like most guys, I used pliers, and the MSD plastic tool. Since I stepped up to the high end wires, I decided to get the proper tool. This tool works perfectly. It makes the job of terminating plug wires very easy. I was concerned about the quality level (vs the expensive brand name tool), but, I can't imagine any tool for this job doing any better. It's built with tight tolerances and heavy construction. I'm impressed.

The best tool for crimping.. I read the reviews, some say it don't cut completely through, I used 8.5 wires it cut through perfectly ever time, after you make the cut just bend the remaining wire back and forth it will easily break the white inner liner, and slip right off, I used double crimp connectors it worked flawlessly.. the toll is very sturdy and built well, it's a great value, don't pass up on this, it's a must have for doing wires headache free

Awesome professional tool perfect wire stripping a crimps that looked as good as the factory connectors on the wires I needed to shorten. Speaking from experience when you buy aftermarket plug wires some will require terminal crimped on and this tool does a professional job.

Just used these the first time: Taylor 8mm Pro Core wire with an MSD double crimp end. (Master certified automotive technician with 30yrs of experience) The wire stripping portion is adequate and easy to do, the large crimp onto the silicone insulator was actually perfect and is the only thing that really impressed me. The small crimp onto the bare electrode wire itself was far from perfect. It does not crimp this portion anywhere near tight enough. The hole on the tool is way to large (and not perfectly aligned with each half) I had to go back with mini channel locks (battery pliers) and finish crimping so that it made good contact with the electrode wire. (Before doing this is barely even touched the electrode wire) Unfortunately this is not something that you can adjust as the 2 half circles are already touching when fully compressed but is still to large of a hole to make a good crimp. For the price I feel like these are still a reasonable purchase and useable, but if you want perfect you will probably have to buy the MSD crimpers for 3 times the price.

Easy to use , surprisingly great quality for the price. I figured this would be a one and done tool . I was wrong, this one will be around in the tool box for along time. Has the crimping head as well as a cutting head that cleanly cuts the plug wire insulation without cutting the core . Made the job easy with superior clamping.

Did exactly what it was designed to do. I've made my own sparkplug wires for years using a crimp block and hammer. I used this to build a custom set of wires for my 1989 Jeep Cherokee. This crimper cut the time needed in half or better. Gave me solid consistent crimps.
