Comfortable
These are very comfortable and durable. They grip well, making climbing over/up rocks easy. The tongue is well padded, making snug lacing comfortable. They’re light weight and have good insoles with far more support than most. However, I did swap the insoles out for my own with hard plastic arches and they fit into the shoe well. I’ve only hiked in heat with them so far but I can say they are breathable and not hot. My daughter has this same shoe and hiked in the snow in CO and said they were plenty warm, with good socks, of course.

Beware! These are very hard inside
These are quite hard inside! They may work well on rough terrain but will make your feet hurt unless you have really tough ones. I thought these fit and would work until I started wearing to train before a trip and now regret thinking Ingot a good deal! Not if I must buy something else. If I had gotten through Merrell they could have exchanged they said. Live and learn! Top and space for toes is great, waterproof. Easy to get on and off. Good grip. Bad comfort!

Not waterproof
These Merrell Women's Moab 3 Waterproof Hiking Shoes are clearly not waterproof as listed. The normal label on Merrell shoes that are waterproof has it labeled on the outer edge of the shoe or on the tongue of the shoe. The box that arrived also did not have any info that they are waterproof. I have had several pair of Merrells and the ones that are waterproof come clearly labeled as such. Other than the fact that they are not waterproof as listed the shoes are very nice.

I'm a tour guide & just wore these Merrell Moab 3 Hiking Shoes while leading a walking tour this morning! Comfortable, supportive, and felt really good the entire three hours. We walked on gravel, ice and patches of leftover snow plus stairs, walkways and carpet. All kinds of terrain and my feet, my back and hips felt great! Will probably get a second pair as I'm that confident in these shoes. Highly recommend!
